Jim West and the guys talk about women in the Special Operations community. Jim talks about not what he thinks, but what he knows. He explains it’s not a male or female thing, rather being able vs. unable. He goes into a story about what could happen if someone couldn’t do a pull up, or any of the physical aspects of the job, and the very real consequences.

I am 68 now, Infantry, Airborne and SF. I remember one of the first female Infantry selection and training courses, out of 17 not one made it. Not because some of them didn't give it their all, and some did. But, while they are giving 115% just to maintain the average strain and pace of the young guys they burned themselves out.
I spoke with many of them and asked why they wanted to do this job, and the majority stated they didn't. The Trades they wanted were closed, but if they entered under this program, and didn't make it they would be re-mustered to the Trade they had originally wanted.
This was a Top down push, after a while it did work and some began to pass. However the standards changed. There was no more batch's of 15 at a time, but rather 2 or 3 at a time. Every few weeks we would be full of Media wanting to talk to the "girls". They would pull them of of Field Trg, showers hot meal, good nights sleep. Chat with the reporters, then back to the Field fully refreshed.
Are there some girls who may be able to do the job? I am sure there are some. However the cost of going through this just for the sake of doing so is not worth it.

Look at these four men. I can’t think of any women that would be able to carry them. I am very strong and fit but, I know my limitations. If I can’t earn it without lowering the standards, I’m out. It would be an embarrassment. Having worked in traditional male fields all my life I can say there are some things best left to the men.

What an insult to our most elite soldiers to tell them, "We'll just get a woman to do your job." Some women are tough enough to beat a variety of men, but a tough man can beat any woman. There are many roles where women can contribute, but this is not one of them.

If a unit of all men is best suited, because of cohesion, or whatever, then stick with that.

@@shinjireference3568 Oh buddy. You have a fucking anime profile photo, get fucking shot at and live a hard lifestyle and have an understanding of putting others before yours own ego and needs before opening your mouth. A man being skinned, beaten, tortured, beheaded if desired by the enemy when captured isn't gonna be a picnic either. No one will "handle" that mentally, you just put what you can to tolerate it. What makes WARRIORS, men or women, is not their limits but their ability to PUSH their limits and live that as a lifestyle, far more than you. No one just lets females in, just like no one just lets men in. There's a standard - physically, skill wise, leadership wise, team dynamic wise, and men are held accountable to it in selection, in pre deployment training, and on deployment for their entire careers. Even that could be better. And it's the same for women. It doesn't matter what women in general are, but what the INDIVIDUAL proves they can be. The only thing that a man does to prove they belong there is going through those tests. It's no more a social experiment than when African Americans were allowed to be in the US military, then desegregation. People were saying the EXACT same things, how it disrupted the dynamic, but it doesn't matter if they can do the job and work with others and pass the standards. Lowering the standards is something we can all be against, and that aside military units as a whole are professional who'll put basic impulses aside for a greater mission at hand, better than weak civilians.

According to what some BUD/S dropouts told me, one female SEAL candidate broke her legs in Basic Orientation (BO) which is the first two weeks of BUD/S, another female SEAL candidate broke her legs in BUD/S Prep and a third female SEAL candidate got rolled back in BO for stress fractures. None of them made it.

The access and placement that a female operator has will drastically increase lethality, and further weaponize the Elite Special Operations Forces. Intersting episode, however, I believe it could be even more interesting if they would invite a few of their female SOF colleagues to join in on the discussion. I think it's great to "get it all out there" with an open table discussion, as it leads to some important topics, not to mention the potential for some mindset growth. Since 2016, Special Operations rates previously closed to females became "officially" open. So rather than talk about the threats of a woman's menstruation attracting predators and sharks (was he really serious with that comment?!?), but rather, can we not talk about how to successfully integrate? Wouldn't that be more beneficial and quite possibly lead to thinking "outside the box" in terms of becoming more lethal on the battle field? I think it's important to freely discuss topics such as the primal sexual tension between both heterosexual and homosexual teammates. I don't believe that sex between teammates will be mission failure, as this practice has been going on since the beginning of time. There are many other topics that would be great to add to the discussion, such as how the Operator's wife/husband react to integration (sadly this has usually lead to social alienation of the female operator, as she can only be a teammate from working hours or on deployments unless there is a very understanding spouse). Long term affects on the body; bone density measurements are a great way to start observing some quantifiable data in regards to the lifespan of a female operator vs male operator. Oh, and again in case you missed it the first time...the access and placement that a female operator has will drastically increase lethality, and further weaponize the Elite Special Operations Forces.

But how I was brought up and keep in mind I have 5 daughters and 1 son. I was brought up where females are the queens and males are the worker bees. They run the house and we do all the work because females are above doing yard work etc. that’s just the region I’m from. You are brought up females are superior and above doing dirty work. Like honeybees for example. The queen has all the male slaves that fight to the death for her.

I love how they actually say the truth of things. If man or women can't do something they can't. The distraction thing is whatever. If I was a women as a green beret I'm not getting involved with anyone but I'm not a guy crazy girl so idk that's me. And we can just take a depo shot and prevent a period too. This a actual good time. Alot of just opinion but still good. Being raised to do work and do better then the person next to me it's hard to stand down to something. I don't want to prove I can be SF because I'm a woman I want to do it to see if I can do it just like any other man that tries. As for different facilities times are changing and some colleges are co ed showers. New age and new rules can be set for women. Female marines have been in the field so thats out. Ppl just need to see if they can do the sh*t they bleed red too and shouldn't be looked down just cause their a girl. Their fighting harder then then some men to just be there.

I don't think you quite understand. It is physiologically impossible for any woman to make it through say CCT/PJ or SEAL training. PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE! A female does not have the testoerone levels which fuel muscle density and recovery or a male, they have 20% less lung volume, completely different skeletal structure and bone density, not to mention muscle fiber density. There is not a woman anywhere that can lift a 200lb guy fireman carry him the length of a football field, turn around and run 6 min miles and then do 16 pull-ups, 8o situps, 75 push-ups (actual real push-ups) and then turn around and have the proper muscle fat rations to complete drown proofing. Women have on average 10% more body fat which effects their ability to ditch and dawn equipment and drown proof in water con excercises. PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE my friend. It's simply biology and biochemistry. Just as there isn't a woman in recorded history that can out bench press me at 205lbs. I'm a curreent world record contender for masters div 2 powerfifting at 200lbs. My bench PR is 510lbs raw. No woman EVER has even come close to that. Same with SEALS and SOC.

Just let men stay home and have a virtual ALL FEMALE fighting force and see how you do.. women generally can’t get along along to save their lives. Let alone be able to organize themselves into a combat unit. Feminist run their mouths but won’t put there money where it counts.

I know 2 women that could have played NFL AND GET IN. OUT OF THOSE 1 COULD MAKE OR COME CLOSE TO BE A NAVY SEAL. NOW LET ME EXPLAIN: I'M AT SCHOOL ON MILITARY BASE, THEY HAD COLLEGES ON BASE MORE THAN 5 DIFFERENT 1'S. NOW IVE BEEN IN SCHOOL FOR YRS. I'M ON MY LAST YR AND HAVE SEVERAL CLASSES WITH THIS WOMAN. I THOUGHT SHE WAS A MAN THE WHOLE TIME. SHE HAS SHOWED OFF AFTER HER WIN SHE WAS BRAGGING ABOUT BY LIFTING A FEMALE ABOVE HER HEAD SO EVERYONE WAS LIKE LIFT HER DIFFERENT ONE AND 1 MALE. THEY WERE BOTH AT LEAST 200LBS. SHE WAS A 6'2 BLACK FEMALE THAT HAD NO CHEST BY NATURE IT WAS EFFASED DUE TO WEIGHT LIFTING, SHE RAN 5+ MILES MANY TIMES A WEEK WORKED OUT WITH WEIGHTS COMPETING IN LOCAL WEIGHT LIFTING COMPETITION. YES SHE WAS BORN A BIOLOGICAL FEMALE. THIS BEING SAID I WOULD FEEL GOOD ABOUT KNOWING SHE COULD CARRY A PACK AND CARRYING ME OUT OF DANGEROUS SITUATION.SHE DID ALSO HAVE A GIRLFRIEND BUT WAS VERY HAAPPY I HAD ALWAYS THOUGHT SHE WAS A DUDE. ALTHOUGH SHE WAS THE POLITEST DUDE WITH MANNERS I EVER KNEW. LOL. SHE'D MAKE THE TEAM OR COME DAM CLOSE. WE BECAME FRIENDS. SHE WASN'T ON HORMONES SHE WAS JUST BORN LIKE SHE WAS. WE TALKED BECAUSE I FOUND OUT BY STAYING OUT BATHRM WHEN SHE WENT IN FEMALES BTRM ON BASE. WHY U SAY? WELL I HAVE BAD PERIODS AND HAD NEVER KNOWN TILL LATER IVF THAT WANTED TO DO WHY. I HAVE A RARE BLOOD DISORDER WERE U CAN BLEED HEAVIER THAN NORMAL NO ITS NOT HEMOPHILIA SO MY PERIODS ARE QUITE HEAVY NOT WANTING TO HAVE TO CHANGE OR CLEAN UP IN FRONT OF DUDE I THOUGHT CAUSE CAN LOOK LIKE MURDER SEEN I WAITED. HELL IT DISTURBS OTHER WOMEN SOMETIMES. SHE SAID U COULD HAVE COME IN I SAID NO EXPLAINED SHE LAUGHED SAID RIGHT ON BUT IM A FEMALE BY BIRTH I UNDERSTAND THE PERIODS BUT NOW I DON'T GET PERIODS CAUSE I WORK OUT SO MUCH AM SO MANY MUSCLES THAT THEY ARE GONE THANK GOD. SHE UNDERSTOOD ME AND I FINALLY UNDERSTOOD HER.NEVER LIKED THEM PERIODS. THESE OTHER FEMALES ARE A JOKE TNEY JUST DOING IT FOR PROPS.
