Do you have any more tips on equalizing, i love diving but i fear going too deep on accident, i try doing eq but my ears still hurt.
I actually noticed that when I start to feel like I gotta stand up and breath if I relax even more and ignore it it actually goes away a little 😮
when things get tough, relax even more 🙏
Thank you so much! It’s so much easier said than done.
yes that's true haha
It just takes some time but once you get used to it, you'll be absolutely relaxed and its so calming just swimming with those long fins and looking at sea life. Its an amazing feeling when you can dive and not worry about air too much because you dont feel any urge to breathe.
I dont live by the sea but when I go on a vacation its just amazing to snorkel around those corals. We saw eels, eagle rays, turtles, triggerfish, pufferfish, a lot of porcupine fish every dive. It sucks at first to dive because you always feel the urge to breathe but once you get used to it its just amazing. I was completely relaxed and just enjoyed watching the fish and turtles. I could swim for pretty long without feeling the urge to breathe. I think freediving is something everyone should try because its such a relaxing sport and besides diving with tons of fishes you also learn to stay calm in a lot of situations. With time you get to a point where no matter what happens its not going to throw you off and you can remain calm. Its just amazing. I wish I lived near a sea so I could freedive everyday. But who knows, maybe one day I'll move somewhere.
wish you all the best ✌️
Is there a big difference between snorkeling and freediving?
@@vaiterius Well I'd say so. If you do snorkeling you're usually just at the top watching the sea life and occasionally diving a couple feet down, if you dive deeper on one breath, I'd say over 10 meters which is like 30 feet I'd consider it freediving since you then have to be at least a bit skilled to do it and you start to use equalizing because otherwise your ears will get damaged. So I'd say what I did is considered freediving but on a recreational level where I dove down to maybe around the 30 feet depth and then swam down there to watch the fish and then resurfaced, people can dive way way deeper than me, that's definitely closer to freediving than what I did.
mygosh the way u equalize is completely unbelievable
Great common sense suggestions thank you
My pleasure!
Look at that current though….scary but beautiful.
It's true when i frist snorkilng i got my panic out of nowhere i breathed fast and scared good that the guide help me
be safe 🙏
Don't ever breathe fast before you dive, breathe slowly and stay relaxed, if youre gonna hyperventilate and then dive then theres a solid chance you will pass out and if theres nobody that would get you to surface youre 100% going to die, so be careful :)
@@xtherealest yes. never hyperventilate
Is there a best way to be relaxed under water
90 degrees duck dive is the generally recommended way to dive, to utilize gravity and save energy.
Do you float with flipper?
thank you for tips, I want to be a certified on scuba diving, but I first I want to be comfortable with myself and the Ocean, so I decided to do snorkel first.
Also, I like your camera, you said its a GoPro 10. Do you know what other cameras are good for underwater or general activities?
thanks. I've only used gopro. the sampler the better for practical reasons
What mask are you using? Looks awesome!
salvimar incredible mask
Wow is that in Mati City Philippines? 💗
yes
I'm from Mati City 💗 love watching your video's and tips
@@kababryantv3573 thanks 🙏
How much air should be in your lungs before you duck dive down?
What should i do is not get into the water, ty
When you do a full video?
full videos are part of the past. short content is what I focus on. I'm also pretty sure whatever it is you want to see, I've already covered it in a long video. ask me a question and I'll direct you to the vudeo 😁
@@gertleroy thanks for answer my question. Also you are helping me a lot 👌
Tip #6: if booking through a guided tour, bring your own fins, because they almost certainly won’t provide any, and you’ll be doing the entire tour from the surface 😂
What sports camera did you use? Thank you
gopro10
@@gertleroy which is better for freediving? Gopro or instax360?ty
@@dbrue121802 Insta360 with dive case is not ready for underwater shots. maybe in the future but not now. for now it's gopro
@@gertleroy thanks a lot Sir
i wanted to ask why do you release air when underwater, arent you supposed to keep all in? Thank you!
for beginners you're supposed to keep it in yes. but in this case because I'm barely wearing any weights in need to sink to stay down to shoot the video. that's why I exhale. it's an advanced technique, not for beginners. 🙏
How do you relax your mind? 😢
It's not a science.Just be part of nature and relax.
Why lots of air escaping from your mask, Due to hands free(but almost all the time escaping while the depth 3 to 4 m)
sa mati ya ?
mati
Does one need to be a swimmer?
I think the question is more: why would one like to be a snorkeler but doesn't want to be a swimmer? (or doesn't make. time to learn to swim) 🤔
Where are all the fish??? No fish in that reef is depressing
the fish are scared of humans....
hahaha
Tip number 6:dont drown
I’lol just stick to scuba diving.
Lol you need a cylinder for this depth? That's crazy. What a waste lugging that gear around just to dive in 5m when you could learn to hold your breath for a few minutes instead. I swear you rec divers got no common sense.
