It shouldt do more than 300 dmg if it doesnt pen and it should not be showing red when u aim at the spaced armour. U should be able to see where u can actually pen or not

Today I decided to grind some credits in CW (I never play cold war). Usually I play the obj 934 but today I decided to try the Thumper. This is the easiest tank to play ever. You just hold R2, auto aim and stack a lot of damage. This was the most fun I had playing the game ever. I found CW to be way less competitive than WW2

Iron Arnie is OP because of the ammo. All the exact same parameters as the M48 Patton's gun such as gun handling, penetration, and shell velocity, but Iron Arnie fires AP as standard rather than APCR. 268 AP pen is approximately 275-280-ish APCR pen because of the increased shell normalization, which basically gives Arnie the highest standard penetration for a medium in the game. I don't understand why WGCB would make that change to it.

The most op aspect of the Iron Arnie is the armor and only the armor. If this tank had no armor it was going to be less competitive than the leopard

I agree! I've had the Machine for years, and I do like it. But it does have a fairly steep learning curve, so it's not very player-friendly to noobs who get it way too early, without first learning how to play the game itself!
And if it were truly OP, even a clueless noob could hop in it and just romp about the map playing "bang-bang, shoot 'em up"... *that* just ain't gonna happen in reality!
So... The Machine: "Good"? Yes.
The Machine: "OP"? No.

It's sad, really, watching those overzealous hotshot noobs charging way out ahead of the team (perhaps attempting to impress somebody with their amazing tank-handling abilities) ... only to crest a ridgeline, and 💥 *BOOM!!!* 💥 they are gang-banged by the five concealed, hull-down Reds who had set up a coordinated ambush of that approach, and were pre-aiming the exact location where Hero Hank the Noob pops up! 💩
The biggest mistake new players make is erroneously assuming that throwing cash at WG to buy a vehicle that they heard was "OP"... and that doing so would give them an insurmountable advantage over virtually any Red tank and crew, making all their enemies easy prey, while rendering themselves essentially invincible.
But... it *is* highly entertaining to just watch the exact same predictable scenario unfold time and time and time again! 🤣

Don't do anything with The Machine. This is really rare tank, and it's contract is so hard to finish. It's like an achievement for your hard work. Better go and destroy that AVRE (I got this tank), or Wiesel TOW...

I gotta add as well the Object 279 E is an amazing tank as well. The frontal armor is great with the 4 tracks and and a decent gun. Been my go to as of recent.
Only good thing about the avre is it scared off all the tarans as they dont like getting a taste of their own one shot medicine 😂
I agree - the AVRE IS NOT AS BROKEN as people complain! The worst about it is the fact that you see 4 in each team per game! Same number of FV4005 would not be nice either! but lets have another angle on it then:
Yes slapping a heavy for 500-600 is strong from one point, but weak from another! Taking away just 500-600 in 18 seconds is not a lot! A lot of heavies and TD's can slap you for 750+ quicker and more reliable. In this regard (and not only) Taran is really OP and broken of comparing.
And I've had plenty of games with AVRE where I did not see a single pen even when it should have been. And when you take in account it's gun handling and specifics of use + the medium armor but speed of a heavy + that it looses to many 10 tier mediums in 1 to 1 encounters - in my view it has it's OMFG moments but they are not consistent and for an average player this tank does not do too much magic.
It's sort of a Dreadnought but on level 10. It is strong don't get me wrong :) But in my view Dreadnought at tier 7 is stronger than AVRE at tier 10! 250 pen and 700 damage with 16 second reload? Man that's your 60TP stats at tier 10! Actually 250 on tier 7 is stronger than 317mm pen on tier 10 :)
So the biggest problem I insist is the actual numbers of this tanks in the same game! Should be MAX 2 on each side.
Imagine 8 Tarans in a game? Wait even 8 MAUS in one game where you face them with mediums with 320 alpha? Actually 8 of hell of a lot of tanks in same game will be too much! I hope war gaming will realize this :)

Honestly the Iron Arnie is one of the most overrated tanks in the game, I average more damage in the 430U than this tank, the gun is great but the hull armour is penned by EVERYTHING you come up against, most damage I have blocked was 2 shots for 700 combined hull down on a ridge where i still got destroyed. The Machine is okay, but I agree the Tiran is easily the most OP tank in the game due to it being near invisible.

I like playing the avre. But it got me side on in my STA at tier 8 and 1 shot me clean back to the garage 😂
The avre is by far the most OP tank in the game and the fact that it’s free when paying 6k for the season pass the player base is full of them and then you ad the fact that it’s a medium deathstar is just ridiculous. It’s great when your playing it but i nightmare playing against it so has to be nerfed for sure

It ruins the game. I don't even like playing tier 8 and up now.
Im sorry but the machine isnt overpowered at all. Has only 320 alpha which is extremely low for teir 10, poor armour and the turret only has good armour if you cant hit the catchers mitt that is its viewport. 139 armour around its viewport and 152 for the hatch right above it make it a easy place to pen the tank even for teir 8s.
The most OP tank in the game is the Wiesel TOW, by far. 1000 pen, invisible, 1300 dmg per missile, very fast, it can 1 vs 3 or 4 very easily in good hands.
This tank juste ruin the highest cold war level game experience by itself.
It's an Avre, but with Armadillo or T-100 LT speed and it also has ELC EVEN size !
I would also mentionned FV 4211, Armadillo and Thumper

All I’m saying is that these tanks are not op the can all easily get rebalanced by a sturmtiger , in all my 8 years of playing I’ve never seen such a tank be able to rebalance everything it comes up against the sturmtiger laughs at the AVRE and even that tank is very very strong

Hi there, I really don't mind the OP tanks in the game.
What I do care about is the matchmaker, please WG do something about that!.
Not only an AVRE against a nother one but also a 54% win ratio against a player with the same win ratio.

I was in a t8? 1470 hp tank can’t remember if medium or heavy , I think it was a heavy. Game started, i popped over a ridge , was detected for 1/2 second and bam , a taran destroyed me in 1 shot. I was upset cause I think he was cheating somehow.

Re-downloaded the game, saw way too many Cent Avres, deleted the game. I was hyped to finally grind out the stock Italian tier IX medium. Taking TD damage by an armored medium threw me off so damn fast.
It's like the FV4211 in cold war. Every match has at least 2-3 of them. It's so lame 🫤

AVRE is too overpowered. All the nay sayers just dont wanna lose their precious potato cannon. The rng on those things is out of control. The cold war playerbase is begging for new tanks, so why not put a cold war tank in cold war? Its wargaming... 🤷♂️

The machine like anything else is only overpowered if you're a wallet warrior like eclipse or a sweat for casual player's you'll discover as soon as anyone see's you you'll get hit with premium rounds by sweats like eclipse and you will be instantly dead and wishing you'd never put the time in like most game's with 90s kids in them there seems to be a point to prove or a stat to jerk off about so you wont enjoy any of these tanks you'll just lose money and realise if you don't plug your credit card into your console you'll never see the potential of these tanks unless you play co-op because everyone from tier 8 up is a money spamming sweat that protects their stat's by paying wargaming for their fragile little ego's to have something worth living for
I hate the avre even though I have it. I wouldn’t mind having it removed and being refunded it’s entire gold value. Unless it’s only 6k because it was in the battle pass. It’s not fun to play and it’s awful to play against. Also like 8 times out of 10 I see someone in the machine they just yolo maybe getting one full clip off or end up with maybe 1-2k dmg. Very rarely do I ever see someone do good in it. The people who play this game are dumb.
