It's hard not to think of Dennis Weaver in the Desert whenever I see a Valient
Imagine a 4 door signet with all those performance options....rare
Awesome videos! Thanks for posting. My favourite cars have always been the 1967 through 1972 Valiant.
Yeah baby! Loved lookin at those girls back in the day - never DID anything with them, but admire them. Im near 68 now.
While the girl in the video may be nice, I'm more interested in the car. :)
Damn! I miss mini-skirts, mini-dresses and side vent windows.
Bought my grandfather’s’69 Valiant in 1980 for $450. He bought it new and kept it mint shape, but me being a wreck less youngster destroyed it! Boy when I look back and tell myself I am glad I learned my lesson!
My Grandma Rose had a valiant with the slant 6 engine which could not be killed and ran forever. My dad and Uncle Don tried to kill the engine several times and couldn't
Good looking compact. I wonder how Plymouth got away without having lighted side marker lights and used reflectors.
Had a cherry 72 Valiant 225 slant6 i should have kept - i used it like a SUV.
Shame!
Right Lane Hog Shame? I didn't abuse it, I did exactly what the ad said, i made use of its functions!
Right Lane Hog I owned/drove - 64, 65, 72, Valiants ( 76 Duster) - all 225 slant 6s.
MH, We had three cars with 225 Slant Six engines. The last two (75 Fury, 80 Diplomat) departed with mechanically sound engines surrounded by decayed bodies.
318 out, 340 in. w/3:55 Sure Grip.
Ill take 318 4 speed with those cast wheels and the wood wheel
16 colors? Cadillac does not offer you that much choice today.
I'd like to find a 71 orange 4 door with gold interior and 318. And a 58 red and white Fury to park next to it.
A time when cars were built of steel and little plastic.
Is it just me or sometimes is it's hard to tell if he's talking about the car or the model?
Generally DON'T like most blondes, but ill make an exception with her!
I agree. She's probably in her young 20s at the time of this promotional video. Assuming she's still alive today, she'd probably be in her late 60s to early 70s.
Would you get less clicks if you called it a slide show?
half empty 13 Zed, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 28, 37, 46, 55, 64, 73, 82, 91, 100
Shows the aborted cast aluminum wheel as an option. If only.
Could you imagine a Valiant with those wheels, a 4-speed and the three-spoke Sport Steering wheel?
LOL. I can't. Honestly, I just can't!! I never would have thought those options were offered on a lowly Valiant!
My 2nd cousin special ordered a new 69 Valiant 2dr with the 273 2bbl, ps, pdb, and std 3 speed stick with optional floor shift in the V200 decor package. What he got was a 4 speed car with Signet trim but w/o the name plate, directly from the factory! No kidding! Somebody goofed somewhere... Ahhh the 60s...
Merry Christmas!!! ⛄🎅🎄
That same sort of thing happened to my Dad... His first brand new, special ordered Car, a 1969 Impala SS. (I KNOW! I straightened him out when I got older!)
He ordered a 327 4bbl with three on a tree.... When She arrived, looked exactly like what he ordered. *Except*
His Engine grew *100* cubic inches, to a *427* 4bbl!! 👍👍😎😎😎😎😎 AND, he found out that he also got the Muncie M-22 *4-Speed* and a beautiful Center Console!!!! 😱😱😱😱😱😎
~ This was where it got weird, and depressing ~
Dad was upset, and actually wanted the Car *sent back!!* The Dealer told him that they'd have to put it on the lot for Sale, because Chevy doesn't take back Car Orders.
Not wanting to Eat the added cost and hassle - and Time, to reorder another Car. The Salesman Screwed the Pooch, checking the WRONG boxes.....
SO, the Sales Manager gave him an offer that he couldn't refuse. The Dealership will Eat the FULL cost of the "unwanted options", and sell Dad the 427SS, at the *327 3-Speed Price!!!!!!* 😀😀😱😱😎😎😎
Dad *REFUSED!!!!* 😨😨😒😣💔😭
To add insult to injury - THAT Car was what I ended up learning how to Drive in, and ended up being my "unofficial first Car" as I drove it to School often. Dad ended up giving me the Impala in 79. I was going to be a Sophomore in High School....
I took that Car to a Dodge Dealer, and with $468.00........ traded her in on a 71 Challenger R/T, 383, TQ, 4-Speed with Pistol Grip, Console, and a 8 3/4", 3.90 Rearend!!!!
*OH,* and..... Plum Crazy! I'd call that a Score as far as first Cars go.
Wait, women were allowed to drive back then? LOL. In any case, I don't see how a boring three-box design could be called stylish, especially since other cars in the Chrysler family were more bold in their designs.
