A Fragrance tip: when considering a prospective fragrance have it sampled by several very attractive young ladies, preferably with hair extensions, fake eyelashes, “spiritual” tattoos with Sanskrit/Hebrew/Inuit/Chinese/Hieroglyphic scripts, the latest iPhone, acrylic nails, ‘yoga’ tights, and gym bodies - the more the better; if the consensus is utter disgust, and the general assessment elicits any combination of comments such as, “horrible”, “dated”, “old man-ish”, or better still, “smelling like an old lady”, definitely do buy: it’s most likely a masterpiece.

As regard to fragrance channels being "boring," I'm sorry, but NO ONE really beats Sebastian AKA The Perfume Guy. He's put me onto soooooo many fragrances that, I can honestly say, most other "fragrance" channels would never mention.

EVERYONE DO WHAT THEY WANT, if you a re not happy doing top 10 only that is you, some people just want videos that people are interseted in just wnt their videos to get views, , you cant expect people to like ALL your content, people like what they like and mostly in the youtube are here for the top 10 and best frags for this season, and best releases etc, the majority doesnt care about other videos you want to do, simple as that.

Have you also noticed that when a new fragrance comes out from a major house or large niche operation that's decent, every reviewer who has a load of subscribers loves it and there's rarely a dissenting opinion? Can you think of a reason or two for that? I should add that Sebastian the Perfume Guy dislikes a few from the major houses for which every other reviewer with a decent subscriber base will rave about. Jeremy Fragrance also deserves credit for that on occasion and for telling us what's been reformulated and now is too weak.
Niche scents are many times sent to reviewers and the reviewers don't like to give out bad reviews and stop receiving fragrances from the companies. Gents Scents also stated in some video that he has given out bad reviews on some fragrances sometimes and then the company stopped contacting him

@@shave-a-thon3415 Yeah if they hype or recommend something they actually don't like that much. Other reviewers might receive ten fragrances and dislike 9 of them and only talk about the one they actually liked
@@fragman4521 That's not exactly fair and balanced, either. If reps from the company do contact them, the least they can do is ask for fragrances that are not released in the USA be imported and sold direct to the fragrance community.
A mention on their channel that they actually care about anything other than their clicks and revenue would be a nice gesture.

Hey Mr Smelly. Have to say, didn't like the gossip content but do appreciate your points this morning. Im not a you tube reviewer so don't pretend to know what the solution is to ease the potential boredom of the repetitive nature prevalent in the fragrance community. However I can tell you that your quirky, funny style in which you present your reviews is very appealing so to me you are different already. What I can say is that I do notice that the you tubers that are following a theme are attracting big viewers. The better for me are Curly scents, gents scents and Justin Copeland but none of them follow the old school classics like yourself. I also notice that the biggest numbers are when you review with guests,,, Curly scents has her boyfriend and many other guests helping with reviews and they are very enjoyable to watch and judging by the 140k numbers I am not alone. Perhaps combining efforts with Clemence and repeating that format in your way would work well,,, I would certainly watch. Seems to be a nice departure from the standard top 10 list. At the end of the day fragrances are what fragrances are and there is only so much you can do when talking about how something smells. To most it is simply a hobby and people will jump from reviewers to reviewers based upon what looks interesting.. Anyway, I enjoyed your reviews today, never heard of a few of them and I will certainly be checking them out especially Givency Xeryus (i remember the original when I was a kid), Rogue and Cerutti 1881. Happy to say I have just re subscribed,,, good luck..
