In addition to the Pour Monsieur, the most masculine in my collection: Royal Copenhagen, Polo, Sung Homme, Aramis, and Guerlain Vetiver

Just bought some Zino by Davidoff. Apparently a very masculine fragrance. I have to say I think it is gorgeous.

Great list, I have several. As a more modern list - it's easy to find manly older frags, but hard to find new ones as most are unisex/metro - I add: Amouage Beach Hut Man, Dunhill Agar Wood, Cartier Declaration Parfum, Dior Sauvage Elixir, Floris Vert Fougere, Hermes Equipage Geranium, Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey PH Fraiche, John Varvatos Artisan Blu and Lalique Encre Noire A L'Extreme. All are post 2015, so they really can be considered modern. Cheers!

Well, I _do_ have Chypre Fulminare & Rogue Bon Monsieur. These are probably the most masculine James Bond-esque frags in my collection 👍
When I want to smell like a chest-beating macho type, I go straight for One Man Show by Bogart, or Caron Yatagan.
Finally someone crazy enough to have common sense and not shy away from calling a fragrance 'masculine/manly' or 'feminine'❤❤❤❤❤
Like the selection, especially the Creed, I would throw Royal Water in there too as far as Creed goes. I have to say Versace and Paco Rabanne Por Homme are super masculine too. And Paco Rabanne actually gets me compliments and I’m 45, I remember my Uncles wearing that and the English Leather after shave which is now garbage because of IFRA regulations. A lot of classics are trash now because of regulations that force reformulations. Especially the limitations on Oak Moss.
I came here for Bois Du Portugal, there's no point mincing that lol.
I liked Pour Monsieur EDP initially but then I found a bottle of Santos De Cartier Concentrée for incredibly cheap & aside from the sweetness, PM EDP really reminded me of it (so it felt redundant).
One I thought might've made the list, just knowing your love for Bois Du Portugal, was Nicolai's New York Intense. That, to me, is maybe how you look at BdP.
No arguments with this list. I'd just like to add Figment Man from Amouage as a really good modern animalic fragrance. Annick Menardo has done some amazing, groundbreaking frags over the years and Figment is no exception. Never got even the least bit of "hype" though it really deserved to. I think it might have been discontinued but should still be available on the discount market.

Greetings Mr. Naughton. I do have right now Agua Brava. My leather scent is Bentley For Men in the EDT formulation. I also have Lapidus Pour Homme which i thought in the beginning would be rather unisex but hell no, sir i was wrong. Polo green, Salvador Dali For Him (Herbal leather scent from the 90's) Quorum by Puig (A sort of muskier dirtier and less refined Polo green) and Givenchy Gentleman from 1974 i do also have in collection, they're just less used than those others. My favorite two of the bunch are Gentleman and Bentley, then Lapidus. Agua Brava is good for daily wear here in the city pretty much all year round. Quorum for colder days, Bentley as well, Lapidus for when i want to go to a club or project animalic like a skunk and intimidate people. I sometimes wear around 5 or 6 sprays of that and it is BRUTAL. The Dali is a vintage and i only have like third an ounce of it or less, so i will take care of it, actually Givenchy Gentleman in the modern formula was a nice one but i resold it and didn't got a very good price for it, so i guess i deserve a fragrance for free someday.
I hope you are well, and i see, the UK seems rather hot lately but there has been a heatwave all around the world. Here in my city i swear i could go swimming in a cold pond if it evergets hotter, but rain season has arrived here and after it gets away the climate will be far colder overall. Greetings
The UK is a furnace! Surprised not to see Lapidus PH, but there's a limit, I suppose. Givenchy Gentleman is my signature and my go to for 30 odd years. If I had my way someone would be locked up for the reformulation!
@@johnscarr70 I see sir. I have the current formulas and enjoy them heavily, i would assume the current were Formulated by Firmenich perfumers like Nathalie Lorson. However, i do see the reformulation perfectly decent, and still with a longevity above average, of some 8 - 10 hours and of a week or two in clothing. Maybe lock up ifra members and not the perfumers? Hehe. Greetings AND thanks on the comment.

I've had Jules and liked it but didn't love it - it reminded me more of Estee Lauder for Men than Kouros btw.

I might try floris elite. I just looked on fragrantica and it had good reviews. I have bois du portugal and I’ve just run out of my Chanel pour monsoir . So I think that’s next.
Please make sure you smell a sample first. I have been using floris for 24 years, I’m a massive fan but that one is not my favourite at all. It’s a very old man smell. Just my opinion
