To celebrate their 15 year anniversary for January 2023, the band held a free livestream on January 20th on CZcams.
Watch as the performers behind the makeup: Isabella Bunny Bennet, David Michael Bennett, and Bryan Barbarin (and a cameo by Walter Worker Chelsea Penyak) perform some popular SPG tunes acoustically and discuss their history.
It’s really cool how the robots dressed up in their human costumes for this.
And they're so lifelike in their speech and movements.
Wow! They've really improved the technology of these robots. They look almost human.

My ex tried to introduce me to SPG and played me Honeybee. It just didn’t do it for me. So I never got into them. I discovered them later after she and I had broken up, on Spotify. It was Brass Goggles and Rex Marxley that got me into the band.

My favorite thing is none of them being able to preform without moving like robots

I first saw SPG when I was in hospital recovering from surgery and feeling pretty hopeless. I was messing around on CZcams and Honeybee came up and I was transfixed by the beautiful harmonies and the oddness of the performance. It took me away from myself and I have been a huge fan ever since. I love the beauty of the music and the humour that comes from loving what you do. Congratulations on your 15th anniversary

Honeybee was the first Steam Powered Giraffe video I watched after seeing a concert of yours when at a convention in seattle, one of my cosplaying friends was cosplaying bunny and said i would make a great spine and i was like what is a spine and then drug me to to the concert I am so glad they did, your music has been in my heart ever since and gotten me thru so much thank you all for creating and being so vibrant and wonderious.

David is so very charming! :D Can't believe how long it's been... Last time I caught a live was the launch of steam world heist live. Been listening since my friend [about 6-7 years ago] sent me a link to brass goggles. Since then, I've listened to your all's music under the depths of the ocean as deep as 200 fathoms beneath the sea. Thank you all for such amazing memories and the joy! I actually have 2 of my characters in D&D inspired by you guys, and they are two of my most beloved characters of all time. So, very seriously, thank you for everything you have done for me. Your content and lore have really had me since day one that I discovered your music and comics! I look forward to what the future holds for SPG! I can't wait to see what's next

I stumbled over you in the summer of 2017. I was very deep in depression after the passing of my wife of 24 years and after 8 hours of searching all of the videos I could find I was smiling. Thank you for helping to save me.
It's been about 5 years I've been a fan. This band means so much to me. I became a fan when I was coming to the realization I'm a trans guy, and it meant a lot getting to see Bunny's journey as well. I do my best to bring more people into the SPG fan crowd.
Bunny posting herself singing about it really catalyzed my own journey as well. I'm very happy to have found SPG in time to see that video and understand what it meant to me.

I first saw you street performing at the San Diego zoo. It is so wonderful to see how far you have come.
That had to be so weird, seeing a Steampunk band performing at a Zoo. It's wild to think that they refined their craft and performing there, to eventually make it big and start touring and doing live shows.

I was cautious into accepting Zero. I really liked Hatchworth and I am bad at accepting change. But is amazing positivity has won me over. And his amazing voice of course. I miss past members still, but I can enjoy each era on its own merits.

I love SPG! I discovered you in mid-Dec.2021 and was immediately hooked. I have enjoyed the evolution of your group from its inception to this historic anniversary. Congratulations on this milestone. I miss the members that are no longer part of the SPG experience because they each contributed so much to your amazing performances. It was especially wonderful to see Erin, Jon and others come back to celebrate your 10 year anniversary BTW. Brian is a great addition to the lineup. While watching this, and listening to Bunny talk about the band's early days with miming, a thought popped into my head: "David sort of looks like Doug Jones. It'd be cool if they knew each other. Bet they'd be good friends."

Been a fan since 2012 World Steam Expo. Been addicted ever since. My fiance and I traveled to at least 30 shows/conventions just because SPG was there. Soon as I'm not terrified of dying from covid and conventions become a normal thing again we'll be back in the audience. So glad to watch this concert, tons of love and support.
