Had an old 2 stroke 8hp Johnson on mine back when I used it, motor jacked way up in the air, it was a neat setup, ran extremely shallow.
This was very neat, makes me wonder what the total weight of that motor is, my old 8hp was 56lbs dry.
I wish Beavertail would make one of these 10' long 60" wide, a bigger brother to this version.

Motor is about 78lbs. I agree, slightly longer and wider would definitely make it more stable and more comfortable to run

@@Jeremy-vm3qchey man how easy was it to install that motor to that boat, I have the boat, trying to figure out which mud motor to go with. Does the shaft sit too deep in that water?

@@benfoster665 motor is super easy to install, depending on what you want to do I'd as light as possible. I think my motor is around 80-82lbs... It's a little much and can get sketchy running wide open. A 5hp tohatsu didn't do anything, wouldn't get up, I see some videos with long tails that seem to perform well.

@@Jeremy-vm3qc sweet, how far does the shaft go in the water, or is it pretty flush with the boat
