I'm an American who's lived in Slovakia since 2009, which is the year that Bianca's brother Ben was a finalist on the Czech/Slovak version of American Idol ("Superstar"). Weird that 13 years later we see his sister performing comedy on a late-night talk show in America. Talented family!

This was hilarious! You guys gotta loosen up, she’s speaking about her own experience being half black in a country with wayyy less diversity than the US and on top of that she did her entire set in ENGLISH which is not her native language! Your points might be true, but her material was not funny. Much was racial resentment and hatred. If she wants a country with a black population there’s plenty of places in Africa. But if she’s in Europe than it’s going to be mostly a white population. BTW, if she goes to China she’s find a lot of Asian people. Last I checked not many black ppl in China. Just because a country like US has a mix bag of races, that does not means other countries need or must have as well.
I did not hear racism in her set. I heard hurt turned into comedy, which is classic US standup. It was funny, self-deprecating and full of heart. OK if

Heard Bill Burr giving her props on his podcast and he’s never steered me wrong when it comes to up and coming stand up talent. Once again, old Billy freckle face was on the money with this one. She’s the real deal. Look forward to seeing much more from her in the future.

The trip to the gynecologist, her 43 years old mother having a baby and using IVF, fully white children not being able to go to Ivy league schools now as they like to tell it. @@le2800 Honestly it was kinda awkward... I have no problem with jokes that go against the grain so to speak.... As in I'm not offended if I'm the target. However, sometimes jokes are funny, sometimes they're not. This was a case of mostly not. And it definitely sounded like laugh track to me. I'm not saying she isn't funny at all. I'm saying she didn't say anything that made me laugh. And I promise you I'm really easy to amuse. My sense of humor ranges from corny dad puns to rotten humor that could land you in hell just for hearing it... IDK. She just wasn't that good.
I respect the topics, love Czech repub and agree with her points but that was tough work. Found it more awkward than funny….. but comedy is hard and tons of respect to anyone that stands in front of an audience and let’s people like me give them crap

Definitely agree, I have heard from comedians that doing a set on a late night show can feel completely different from a set at a comedy show. But given some time and work she could be pretty good.

I think she was nervous. But she was decent. In some years with a good mentor she will be great. She has the material just need to work on the delivery and setup and the punchlines.
I’m so impressed by someone doing stand up in a foreign language. That is so brave! I hope to see a lot more of her in the future.
Tbh native English speakers are unusually crap when it comes to fluency in other languages. English is the lingua franca of the world and it has made us arrogant and lazy. I’m a native speaker of British English (I’m Scottish) and visiting other European countries is really humbling. Virtually everyone is fluent in English, which unfortunately just makes native speakers even lazier!
Visiting France is great though because the French expect you to actually make an effort, even though they likely understand you perfectly well. Good for them I say!
@@clothilde1623 When I moved to Belgium I only spoke English. I had great difficulty learning French because as soon as anyone heard my accent they would immediately switch to English (which everyone here speaks fluently.) and wouldn't switch back.
@@clothilde1623 I don't think native English speakers are lazy or arrogant but I can see it on my partner (British national) and how impressed he is of me being able to speak English and from basic level I am speaking fluently now and it took just couple of months.
I think people from foreign countries are glad to speak English with English native speakers as it makes them proud they can show they learned something.
I am Czech and he tries but always forgets the words or give up when can't pronounce some difficult words..
English is super easy to learn, in the UK is just a big complication in terms of the dialects in different regions. I live between Liverpool and Manchester and when door repairmen from next town arrived, I was glad my partner is home as I was really ready to communicate with hands and legs 😂

Out of any race of people, blacks are the LEAST that look alike with all the different hair types, lengths, eye colors and skin colors. As for the Lenny Kravitz joke MOST mixed race kids come out with that same shade, either a little lighter or darker, they all come out with about the same grade of hair some curlier and a little kinkier than others while some is extremely straight. Their hair colors are usually brown, brownish red, or different variations of blonde and they usually have either light brown, hazel, green, or blue eyes, and YES most of them are exceptionally attractive. THAT observation based upon accurate observations is what made the joke funny. Of course, SOME people can never get any humor like that! 🙄 Simply goes right over their heads. Smoh

Gave her a thumbs up before the set was even over because she had already made me laugh so many times. I think the people who can relate to the immigrant jokes were able to laugh the most. Those who can’t relate have forgotten their immigrant relatives/lineage.

As czech person I am just in awe that she has such a good english, she does not speak czenglish like I am or the most inhabitants of Czech republic. Su kudos to her that she can do comedy in her not primary language.

All you do as a comedian is speak, so it's not about the language, it's about skill and desire to create funny material. For example, ISMO is pretty f🤘cking funny. 👌

Most of my ancestry is Eastern European. My maternal grandma was Hungarian and maternal grandpa was Slavic. (My dad's side is a little muddled, but mainly Austrian, German, Polish, Russian). My family is racist and I rarely talk to any of the few that are still alive. My mom told me how her dad would make her non white friends wait in the street because he didn't want them to even set foot on his property.
