Hi Dan I think the confusion over the ownership John Deere blade is largely down to the commentary at the beginning of the video, because the sound of the machine drowned the commentary and it was not clear I listened several times and it was still not clear. Keep up the good work then you will be able to buy a new one.
I am no judge of the height of that whopping big tree from the video but it clearly was enormous. Congratulations as it looked as though it came down smoothly and hopefully did not suffer any significant splitting or cracking in the process of being felled..
700 is what you should be looking for your gonna want one with 30" pads I had a 650h and went to a 700 it's a night and day difference as far as getting timber out and it's not any heavier than the 648s
How about a steel tracked Track loader with a 4 n 1 bucket and winch. Can load and push and build roads. In my opinion alot more useful tool. But i dont know all about your business or purpose. I just like the track loaders like the 963 cat 953 with a winch.
Dan, some folks have a one track mind. Once they have an idea, they run with it. That oak was beyond massive. I know it had to be harvested but like catching an 16 lb large mouth. You think should I release it for spawning stock. Just my way of thinking. Stay safe.
Nice truck
103 here in Pensacola today with a index of 117. A 90 degree day would be a cold snap for us

That tree was a monster. There is a John Deere 750J working near my house. It looks very capable.
Might look up C&C Equipment in Indiana for a dozer with a winch. They got some good videos as well.

You won't like a j series dozer. Someone I knew had one and they have alot of electronic issues. Newer j series might have it figured out though.

I've actually seen an operation where they staged logs for the grapple and it worked out very well to
C & C Equipment in ind.
