As an observation regarding your lay down areas, to stop your stone being lost in the ground, why not use a geo textile fabric laid on the ground and the stone pushed out on it. Normally comes in 6m x100m rolls will be cheaper than buying stone all the time. Thanks for the videos keep up the good work.
G'day Dan, that's exactly how I prep my logs on a much smaller scale out of pure practicality I'm milling them and that's how a saw mill want's them straight ends no branch stubs and cutting them to a length that reduces the crookedness which is a balance between the target length of the desired boards.
You explained it very well my logging boss is always wanting me to mark logs but I don’t feel comfortable doing it unless it’s pallet logs have a great day
Have ya thought about buying a bandsaw for the crotches and the crooked stuff.. I did a few years ago and saw em up for slab tables for people to buy. Good way to keep the money going on rain days or slow times.
It’s a great thought but we really don’t have time for anything like that. There’s never a shortage of things to do even on the rainy days. Thank you very much for watching 💯🙏
