' The Cwellyn' from Caernorfon to Rhyd Ddu and back.
Delayed, due to sheep on the line, that refused to stay on the line side and kept on running on the track in front of the train.
No sheep were hurt.

Great little railway Those sheep sure got a good workout, never think to move to one side.
It is. No, stupid enough to run on the rough ballast, rather than stay at the side on the grass
This happened a lot on the Llangollen Railway. Thankfully, the farmers have learned their lesson and make sure the sheep don't stray on to the track. Pheasants are still dumb enough to wander along the track, till their tailfeathers are nearly lost beneath a steamy's wheels. Plus, on two occasions, a cat has run across the line. First time was a ginger cat, second time was a tabby and white cat. Both escaped with their 9 lives intact. A DMU was running on those occasions.
Lucky cats. Glad the sheep have been kept out, most of the time.

Always a great trip on any of the Welsh heritage railways - off to Welshpool tomorrow!
I wonder who's responsible for maintaining the lineside fencing?
Hopefully the sheep got back to where they should.
Yes, great railways. I would have thought it would be the farmer . Hope so, no sign of them on the return journey
