    I have two this style is my second one. I got call from customer service after ordering and was told of a delay. They were able to set me up with a one color one in the store and I had it in three days. They have great service and stand behind their product!

    Just found your channel and like your review ... I have made a couple Camo kilts, but nothing as good as you review, mine are for hunting and such and just kicking around. I used Marpat woodland and desert camo material (authorized USMC only) that I got at a store that deals in bulk material for those who like to sew their own clothes and other things ... Love the "waist adjustment" in the workman and the next one I make, will try and figure out how to do it ... I don't make them for others, just me ... I can afford ( with saving for a few weeks or a month) to get the material to build mine, but can't (right now) afford to buy the good ones like you review, especially utilikilts ... will watch your other videos when I finish this ... thanks again for the reviews, if (and when) I can afford to buy, maybe I can get more for my money ... living on a very fixed income is hard and have to make do how ever I can ...

    I've had 4 of the older UK's and grew out of them.. One thing, after washing never put it in the dryer that will curl the pleat's.. Hang dry..

    I've had my Mocker for almost 20 years, and it shows no signs of slowing down. I bought my Leather, finally, this year, and I adore it. Utilikilts are a rock solid company, and they produce nothing but top shelf products. This video is making me wonder if I shouldn't pick upa Workman for camping trips, though...

    I personally love UK's Workman, my second one is on it's way. My first one was gifted to me by my dad, who wore it for a good 15 years. That kilt still holds up amazingly, though a little faded and curled. Since it was an older kilt, I'm curious about the switchback design.

      The switchback takes some getting used to but it works great.

      @@kiltedandbearded6895 thanks Steve, and I'd agree. It came in the mail yesterday, and the biggest change for me is how light it is. The Proto-Workman feels like it can stop a bullet, but the new one is a nice balance between durability and comfort

      I love my Workman, it's a great kilt. If you like that type of kilt the Kiltman Pub kilt is excellent. Similar construction to Utilikilt, just as well made but quite a bit cheaper. The pocket system is much better than any other kilt I've tried. Lots of different options, easy to remove and they can be worn in the belt or attached to the kilt. The perfect kilt would be a combination of the Workman and the Pub kilt.

    I've had my Workman UK for about 15 years. Still holding up, it has been through quite a lot. There's been quite a few advancements in the design that kind of makes me want to get another one!

      If you want comfort and a lightweight kilt go with the Spartan or the Survival. But, if you want a durable heavy-duty kilt that you can beat up on then get the Workman. Any kilt you get from them will be great, they are all good.

    I like to wear my Utilikilt when I'm home playing guitar and cranking the Marshall. Makes me feel very Nigel Tufnel.

    I Love this kilt!
    Just one question,...is this the Brown (A), Caramel (P)?
    Thanks!

    The Two-Tone Utilikilt is no longer available for purchase in the Brown (A), Caramel (P), per their website.

      That's the one! I'm impressed with how well the color is holding up. I have another kilt from a different manufacturer that I've had to dye twice so far and I bought them at roughly the same time. The Utilikilt is holding up extremely well, especially since I wear a kilt every day year 'round.

    I am considering a utilikilt. But have never had a kilt before and wondered about some of the practicalities . . . Like how does a hammer not pull your kilt down? And can you ride a bike in a kilt?

    • @kiltedandbearded6895
      @kiltedandbearded6895  Před 5 lety +1

      The way the kilt fits around the hips keeps it from pulling down. When I wear jeans I'm constantly pulling them up or adjusting them, I never have that problem with a kilt even with a drill hanging from it and a couple water bottles in the pockets. As far as riding a bike goes, you can do it just fine.

    Great review. You did an excellent job on showing all the thing I had questions about. Just ordered my Workman Switchback Utilikilt for an early Christmas. The ONLY problem I had was that 5 min. after ordering I actually got a ph call ( excellent customer service btw ) to tell me there was like a 3 month backorder / leadtime on the Black & Caramel model, it's their most popular colors in that model apparently. No worries, went with the Black & Grey. Again, Great review and carry on carrying on . Subscribed

      The black and caramel is the color I wanted as well, I went with this one because I didn't want to wait. You definitely won't regret getting a Workman, they are top shelf!

    I’ve owned several utilikilts over the years, but the new utilikilts kinda suck. They all come with a corset on the back now, and when I work it snags on everything. Any suggestions for a new brand to give my business to?

    • @kiltedandbearded6895
      @kiltedandbearded6895  Před 3 lety +1

      Give Kiltman kilts a try if you're a fan of the old style Utilikilts. They are just as will built and have a far better pocket system, especially if you use them for work. I've actually switched from the Workman over to Kiltman's Pubkilt for work. Both kilts are great but the Kiltman is more versatile.

    Hi from Scotland. At what point does a kilt no longer become a kilt? "Most kilts have snap fasteners" Nope they do not not. Buckles at the side. for dress (normal kilts) one or two belts for the Feileadh Mòr (grate kilt). Pouches on the belt not pockets. Over complicated front on this for me. Wrap around works in a dreichy windy Scotland got to work any where. Each the their own.
