Stevie's timing is so spot on. It can be heard with "fragile" in this same concert. Just miraculous!!..he knows and expects and responds or otherwise to grace notes and pauses... a true genious worthy of Bach, Beethoven and Mozart themselves!. Stevie is in their ranks and will be remembered with them alongside Shakespeare. Beautiful poet , humanist, music maestro. Long may he live and thankyou from the bottom of my heart for all the joy he has given me and to so many others . I thank him for his work to recognise Dr. Martin Luther King and their guidance for us white folk that hopefully has finally got the message....Love
I couldn't agree more! Such a natural talent with goldern ears and what seems like effortless singing/playing. And then, there's his songwriting, the music scholars still can't analyse the harmonic structure of Stevie Wonders songs, total genius!
Today I was at the grocery store shopping with my wife Paula when we where in the meat section a speaker was over my Head and I started moving my head from side to side. I said that is Sting. I have cancer I am truly thankful to see another day that the good Lord Almighty God has let me see. Every day to me is a Brand New Day. So this song gives me a good feeling. " A BRAND NEW DAY "
. Me too Brother and I think I'm comin back again.. I pray that you will too.. We Love the same music so not too far fetched.. My best friend years ago is Rodney Williams.. We played music together and I hope you will play again at what you love..
Just got my tickets today for Sting at the Met in Philly!!!. I've seen him so many times I can't even remember all of them. My first Sting concert was his Dream of the Blue Turtles when I was a junior in high school. Slept out for tickets with a brace around my neck , So I used electrical tape to put STING on it. Also one time I was 8 and a half months pregnant and I took a bus to Philly to see him when. No one would go with me. ( my mother was having a fit, and my husband was not to pleased, either!) Nothing will keep me from going to his shows. No better song writer, musician, activist, around. Long Live Sting!
As a three time cancer survivor this makes my ever loving day! Looks like I will be around for my 61st birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas and so on and so on...
Thanks Lynne. I am so excited I have a CZcams video from Barking Leg's Theatre, Chattanooga, One does all sort of things when given a new chance at life. Check it out. It's really funny and not bad since the sound track is so loud!
Here I am in 2020 after fighting Co-vid 19. It is New Year's Eve and this is the song I chose to start 2021. May this new year heal our wounds and be a good one.
Its so funny how musicians have the power to make happy so many millions of people at once with nearly zero material items but sounds through air like an aeroplane that weights tons and flies like a bird. Thank you Steve and Sting for existing. And happy birthday! ❤
Playing a Chromatic harmonica that has a side button to mix sharps & flats on the music scale. Very difficult to master and he definitely has it mastered.
Stevie Wonder's harmonica is pure joy turned into its sonic form! There is nothing quite like it and it always makes me smile no matter how bad my day has been! Love seeing him and Sting together for this incredible, upbeat tune!
This is SUCH S BEAUTIFUL SONG OF LOVE LOST BUT REBORN, I LOVE THIS OUTSTANDING COLLABORATION, STEVIE AND STING, SHIT, (EXCUSE MY FRENCH )HISTORIC ❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥💋💋💋
Doesn't get better than this! What a gift on this my 70th birthday. 🎉 It truly is a brand new day. Been listening to Stevie since the 1960s and Sting since 1970s. They're classics (like me😂).
Sting. The instant he starts to sing, you know it’s him. He doesn’t sound like anyone and no one sounds like him. In addition to having a marvelously unique voice he’s an incredibly talented song writer and musician. Like Stevie Wonder, Sting’s music is a vibrant piece of art that enriches anyone with the privilege to hear it. Music is an essential part of my life. Sting is an essential part of my music.
Absolutely agree. Although, my favorite Sting song has no voice. "Saint Agnes and the Burning Train". It tells so many stories. Even a new story every time you hear it. Brilliant composer
Just found this. Ended up enjoying till the end, got about 7 minutes late to work and then that strange look from the boss, but hell... worth it.. what a performance
This right here is one of the best things about music. Two so different people, both supreme talents, they love music, and that shines from the both, and I get the feeling they're friends besides. Excellent! This is how it should be. Music is universal and wondrous.
Omg Stevie and sting who could imagine such a collaboration Pure joy What a birthday present The best ever, ever Wow.... Joy to us Wishing joy to you both Xx
This song, the music, singing, and lyrics, lifts my spirits, brings a smile to my face, brings chills, and brings joy. The joy on stage is unmatched - the background singers, Stevie, and Sting just feel this music and share that with all. Of course, it makes me want to STAND UP. Never get tired of this one! One of the best songs ever!
I grew in the same time zone of Stevie, from the first beach movie , to the Motown sound, into the 70's with the Police, going old with these guys in the same era has been fun
Stevie's harmonica really cuts your heart and Stings voice is so beautifull....This song makes me cry and gives me happiness also....These kind of songs makes it possible to deal with all the misery I faced in my life and will be able to make me deal with no matter what will come in the future....THANK you so much for this beautifull song Stevie and Sting.
God bless Sting and Stevie for this piece of love art put to music! So awesome and a-mazing! Says it all about L-O-V-E. I'm standing up for all the lovers in the world💞💞💞
What kinda Person you have to be to dislike music like this. Its such a master piece, and both a Charakters we miss in this time of Wanne be pop stars, casting trash and bling bling rap stars
I've been listening to music for as long as I can remember, and there are so many beautiful or even great performances. But this one has me on my knees with gratitude.
I got to know Stevie Wonder when he was 12, and called the 8th wonder of the world. I was young then too. Chicago. I learned a lot about music, listening to a jukebox, a lot about soul. Chicago, southside, white kid. always taken care of by those of another color.
I played fingertips over and over on a jukebox at a park our family went to - one of those huge jukes as tall as I was (early 60s after all!) loved Little Stevie Wonder remember? - he only 2 yrs older than I! I marvelled when I watched him on tv. Thru the years with social, political strife and all of us affected by war. We played Steely Dan and Stevie, lost our friends to drugs and war. Stevie had the pulse.
There's one thing certain about some music celebrities that only become evident with time in a business of one-hit-wonders and ego driven narcissism.... and that is a sense of personal integrity, intelligence and pure talent that only ripens over the years. One of my favorite songs made better with age.... happy 60's Sting.
Stevie's timing is so spot on. It can be heard with "fragile" in this same concert. I had to pin this as the top comment! So true!
Absolutley..... coouldn´t be described any better...
I could sign every word that you say. Completely agree, 100 percent.
" A BRAND NEW DAY "
Best wishes to you. Listen to a lot of music - it’s good for mind and soul.

So much talent there on that stage. Stevie has such a unique style of playing the harmonica.
Playing a Chromatic harmonica that has a side button to mix sharps & flats on the music scale. Very difficult to master and he definitely has it mastered.
What a masterpiece! This collaboration with Stevie is among the greatest live performances I've ever heard 🎵❤️🎵

This album is so mature and rich lyrically. Each song tells a story.
If this doesn't lift your spirits nothing will! Such a fenomenal feel good song!

Only a "Great" has a "Great" show up on stage and play background. Oh, to be at THIS concert. Two of my favs. God Bless em' both.
He's blind. He's walked onto a stage in darkness, in front of a crowd of people and crushes it. That's a musician.
Just found this. Ended up enjoying till the end, got about 7 minutes late to work and then that strange look from the boss, but hell... worth it.. what a performance
