Bryan Ferry initially found music success with the group Roxy Music. Formed in 1970, Ferry fronted the band which he co-founded, and went on to achieve 10 UK top 10 hit singles and 11 UK top 10 albums (of which 4 were UK Number 1s).
1973 saw Bryan Ferry launch the beginnings of his solo career alongside Roxy Music's group projects. From this time up until the present day, he has continued to go from strength to strength, achieving great success with his solo endeavours as well as with Roxy Music.
Described as "one of most innovative and distinctive singers and lyricists to emerge in popular music" Ferry's sophisticated, elegant and glamorous on stage persona has won him fans around the world. His vocal genius is said to lie in his peerless ability to merge musical styles "from french chanson, through to classical crooner to hard edged rock."
Imprinting his own style into his recordings and performances successfully is reflected in his recognition as a highly successful solo artist in his own right; he has achieved great success with 5 top 10 UK chart singles as well as 10 UK chart top 10 albums (including the Number 1s "Boys and Girls" (1985) and "Street Life," (1986). Ferry has also won critical acclaim, most notably, his 2001 Grammy Nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for 1999's "As Time Goes By".

@Paul Griffiths ........I was fortunate enough to see Ferry live in the late 1970's [his 'G.I Blues' tour]. The show was stunning - brilliant music, gorgeous backing singers/dancers, costumes and choreography.
But what amazed me most was Ferry's vocals. He sang 'In Every Dream Home a Heartache' totally unaccompanied - mind-blowing! Ferry really could sing!
U re absolut right. When I think about my clothes in the 70/80s OMG! But now we got "Style"! Hope so....

The original MTV Video was fantastic! By the looks of Bryan, thus Live Concert version is at least 10 years if not more after the original release of this Great Song! In my opinion Bryan sounds just as good, if not better in thus live version as the original. The band is tight and hasn't missed a beat! An excellent combination of Great Singing, Great Musicians and beautiful dancers. Few singers present the whole package like Bryan Ferry regardless of how old he is. He's one of the Best of All Time! It's September 2023 and I'm still grooving to this Great tune!

Em julho de 2023 completei 67, que felicidade na minha vida, amigos pensem comigo, a minha geração foi e é muito feliz, dos anos 60 até os 80 musicalmente falando, perfeito, é a minha opinião.

I'm just discovering this band. I remember one song from late 70s or Early 80s but was to much of a rocker to pay attention. Now I'm being blown away. One of the tightest bands I've ever heard. Excellent musicians, a babe of a sax/keyboard player and 2 very good guitar players!

@@juliansmith4295 I do understand the difference bro. Used to be the quality of his band mates didn't matter. You can watch one vid of Roxy and compare to today. He nolonger tries to carry a show by himself. He has gathered really great musicians around him and he allows them to shine. Case in point; the song hurricane from this same concert on the last guitar solo you can see Brian behind the guitar player smiling his ass off because the boy is hitting every note and ripping it! He actually gives Jorja his sax babe almost equal billing and allows her to bow to the audience after a solo and take applause in the middle of a song. Totally unheard of in pop or rock venue's ever! Common in orchestral performance. So realistically much to his credit Brian Ferry has become a band. His great talent for songwriting and arranging and production And promoting could have really shined 40 yrs ago instead of meager success and a reputation that Roxy had for being a cocaine fueled twighlight zone sh!t show. I'm not belittling him in the least or not recognizing his talents. I'm very glad he made it past life's speed bumps like some of us did so I can enjoy this great sound! Take care.

bons tempos, cheguei recém aos 66 e a cada ano tenho mais e maior saudade dos tempos passados, particularmente das mágicas décadas de 70,80 e 90, menos tecnologia, mais alma em tudo que fazíamos, sonhávamos mais, vivíamos com maior intensidade eassim eram as músicas e seus intérpretes....
