I'm on his side with the Tommy Wiseau thing. While the movie was about Tommy, the specific award was for Franco's performance. If it was for Best Picture or Screenplay, then sure, give Tommy the mic. But it was specifically about Franco's acting, and therefore it was his moment. Not to mention Tommy's known to be a babbler, so for all he knew the whole speech could have been hijacked.
