Yeah, even though I barely play osu! (in fact I just barely play any games at all, even though I want to, not sure why)
On the part of limiting texture sizes: please distinguish between what's essential for gameplay and what can be purely cosmetic! In my skins I like to use animation and glow effects, which often require larger than usual texture sizes to achieve. Things like hitbursts, follow points, sliderb, slider follow circle, and spinner parts should be fine to be as big as can be. Reverse arrows should also have the same size restrictions as hitcircles, rather than based on the original size of the reverse arrow. Mappers often make something comparable to size to a hitcircle as reverse arrow, and it'd be a shame to restrict that.
we've already accounted for all of these! if your skin is broken please report it to us, shoul not be the case.

this really made 6 minutes feel like 1 minute
I wish double time had an adjust pitch option because I love using wind up / wind down to create the same effect and change how my beatmaps sound, but I don't like the speed of the song changing (even by 0.01x) as it is not constant for gameplay. Nightcore does something similar but I think it has a filter on it/drums in the background and either way it sounds different than just a pitch adjust. Unless it is already in lazer but after experimenting with the mods I couldn't find a way to just change a beatmaps speed (but keep the speed constant) and just the pitch of a song

Leaderboard farmers will be mad (at first), but I feel its still better if the new mods influence the score more in the future (i.e. Playing DT at 2.0x, or making a tighter FL size) It will make every map have a strong competition to reach the limit, since HDDTHRFL wouldn't be the best score possible by default then. For maps that are like 1.5* or less it will probably just be maxed out quickly, but past a point, it might take a while for players to reach the max score because it actually takes more skill

As an LB and Score farmer I actually do like these changes! Doesn't mean I have to give my hand rsi anymore. And also I like how they are still gonna keep the score lb's the same.
The pause that appears in the before part of this update can be felt in the stable version as well, it doesn’t happen for every map but on some maps a pause can be seen as the map is starting

I'm looking forward how skinning will work in Lazer. For now one thing i'd love to see in stable that's only in lazer is the possibility to make sliderstrackoverride a flat color, which would make it comfy as hell to play for some people, me included.

I love the way lazer is going. Almost everything is customizable for your preferences. The score bar, dt etc. I think lazer will be really good once released & we will see a lot new up coming players

The size limit on skin elements, triples up follow points if they're too long. more funny than anything but it might break a couple beatmap specific skins.

About scorev2: can't we rely more on accuracy instead of combo? Right now a combo break mid song can cost you like ~350k score. So basically, unless you FC the song, there's no way to get more than ~650k and that's REALLY demotivating imo.
The plan is to increase the ratio of accuracy:combo to 70:30%.

Guys, I'm having quite a strange problem.
For some reason, my game locks at 144fps in gameplay sometimes. In the beginning, it starts unlocked, achieving almost 1000fps. Then, later, it locks and totally ruins my play since the input lag is brutal.
I tried everything to solve it. Closed MSI AfterBurner, disabled vsync in-game and in the Nvidia control panel. Put my GPU in performance mode, and nothing works. By the way, that's the only game that this happens with.

Did you watch the video? We can expect that the DA mod will be split into 4 separate mods for each difficulty parameter (cs, ar, od, hp). I think it is safe to assume that score multipliers will be adjusted similar to DT/NC and HT/DC ..

Storyboard optimization pleaseeeeeeeeee
I'm playing lazer for so long time but even now still some storyboards runs terrible or even does not even work. I really love playing maps with storyboard but when storyboard works bad or sometimes doesn't even working it becomes so frustrating. I only seen this in one map but that one completely brokes the game and i need to restart. And its not about my computer or my client its about the game because i made some of my friends try those maps and they are getting same results. Or even i try play those maps on mobile, they are still broken. Even they work completely fine on standard osu.

Yay! The rate changing mods having x2.0 ect. is literally something I've been wanting since lazer came out. It looks so good at a glance and you don't have to hover on the mod anymore! The difficulty adjust mod being separate mods does sound pretty interesting too. I love these videos so much.
