The kids helping and working on a helmet was adorable.

I have spent so many hours trying t find out what Faulds were called, and how they were able to be collapsed upward where the lower parts were outermost and the upper parts were innermost. I'm trying to design some armour realistically for character design, and I couldn't grasp in my head how it worked until finally seeing this video. Everything I found only showed the outside already done, so I couldn't figure out how it worked and connected on the inside.
Amazing work, thank you for being a clear demonstration, its the last piece I needed to be able to continue with my work!

Thank you. I've actually taken the faulds apart twice and reworked it (them?). I want to join it to my breastplate; but I can't quite get them shaped and sitting the way I want. They worked on a set I did for my wife....I guess that's how we learn.

Definitely a learning project. Hardly perfect; but a lot of fun. I'm excited to mount it on the breastplate. hopefully it doesn't end up looking like a Medieval maid's skirt.
