Legend...I'm so happy to see them release a new album
I freaking LOVE these guys. Saw them last night at Star Theater. James Brown, David Byrne, and LSD had a four-headed love child, and it was James Chance and the Contortions.
they are just a bunch of old addicts to heroin,

I feel like the Contortions is the band Hunter S Thompson would have seen in the casino when he was really, really high on drugs
YEAH!!!
Still genius
Old Skool Funk-Punk, yeaah
I it’s actually called NO WAVE
@@johnnyhazard6305 No wave was just a label. This is indeed funk-punk.
someone please upload the whole album
There's a playlist in youtube that has all the songs in order.
Did anyone catch what this song is really about!?!?!? Whoa! "Next stop, Buchenwald!"
Does anyone have the lyrics to this?
I keep expecting the video to pause and for a voice to say "Great job!"
Haha.. T&E are a big influence for sure
@@TrueGroove Yeah, I'm guessing James and the lads are deliberately going for that same strange, hyperreality vibe here. It's not fair of me to compare them to outsider artists like James Quall or David Liebe Hart, who evoke that feeling without meaning too. Obviously James' background is in the No Wave scene so making weird, subversive music has been his MO for a long time.
Top of the line 😅
It grows on you..:)..Gotta nice click to it..!!!
