Home-Medics is the pronunciation i think. Thanks for the review, very informative.
your guess for name is as good as any I see it as Ho-medics or Home-disk's (i know change the spelling for pronunciation purposes). not great.
Since this is a self care appliance. "Home Medics" sounds like the most correct pronunciation.
Your first pronunciation sounded like "Home Dicks." That pronunciation of the company name sounds like it is for a marital aide device (a vibrator).
When I put the humidifier on the number percentage, it won't blow out mist, but when I put it on CO, it blows. Is the humidity sensor not working properly or it's telling me my room has enough humidity even though I get dry lips and skins. Is there a way to fix it? I just got it recently and I just had it set up yesterday.
Also, I noticed that there wasn't any mist coming out when I had it at CO mode today. I can hear it blowing but I don't see any mist. I drained the base and put the water tank back and there was mist again, but barely visible. Do I have to do this often? Draining the tray to make sure it's misting properly?
The humidifier wont blow on a % because it sense the room is already at that %.
I have mine. we have 2 now (kids and adults) on CO mode. We use it at the 2 highest mist blowing settings.
As for visible mist: on the 2 lowest settings the mist is near invisible. at the max it should be very visible.
cleaning and empty the tank: Empty the tank daily unless you let it run thru every day. Dont let the water stagnate. A white vinegar cleaning should be done weekly. just let it sit with white vinegar for 10-20 min empty and rinse with water.

I will give this a try... I hope there is no additional scrubbing with a brush.
@@juniorxxnho hmm I haven't had to go that far but if you have particularly heavy water. is that the term. more salts in minerals in it that cause build up. You may need to do scrubbing once a year.
So if you leave it CO vs AU... will the cloud percentage shut it off when it hits room humidity??
i think so. I just set it to high or medium and let it run not set a humidity.
mine (Homedics) started leaking & stopped working (after about 2 months) ... i'm THINKING / hoping it's just a fluke & wanna exchange it, but not if the next one is just gonna leak too (hardwood floors!) ... has yours leaked at all?
Let me think we got the first one in Dec. so not quiet 2 months. No leak problems. like is it leaking through the base somewhere and out the bottom. Any cracks? Other thought is the seal around the ultra sonic part.
I would think the same as you a fluke.
How do you turn on the warm mist on the homemerdic one?

thank you! i have a red light that now shows up below the CO but above the buttons.... any idea what that means? i thought maybe it meant i need to clean out the gasket thing - i deep cleaned, let it dry, restarted - still shows up... it's like a small red oval....@@computer-tech-more
@@shwang827 I think i know which your talking about. there are 2 red lights (ignoring the heated water one)
one of low / empty water tank. obvious no mist
the other is exactly what you said the clean reminder. I did the exact same deep cleaned the thing and its still there. I have no idea how to get rid of it. I just ignore it. haha. I just remember to clean weekly
@@computer-tech-more After the cleaning is done, long press the night light button, and the red cleaning light will reset.
