  • How to deep clean your Dyson pure humidify + cool™ Cryptomic
    To always get the best performance from your Dyson purifying humidifying fan, it is important to carry out regular deep cleaning to remove any limescale.
    Your machine will alert you when it needs you to carry out a Deep clean cycle. If you are connected to the Dyson Link app, you will receive a notification message. If you are not using the Dyson Link app, the LCD screen on your machine will alert you and the Deep clean cycle button will light up.
    IMPORTANT: don’t turn off or unplug your machine as the cleaning instructions will appear on the LCD screen. Dyson experts are on hand to help, so leave us a comment if you'd like any advice. You can also find Support online: www.dyson.com/support

    To those who have the problem with cleaning cycle stopping after a few seconds/minutes, did you make sure that the citric powder was dissolved completely? Because "gently shaking" the tank didn't do the trick for me, I had to reach into the tank with my hand and stir the water until there were no more coarse residue of the powder left. Maybe your pump nozzle clogged up or something.
    Anyway, I had to force the cleaning (pressing the button 3 times quickly) cycle because it did not prompt me even though the display showed me the the evaporator was in need of cleaning.

      @j.ballsdeep420 Před rokem

      Not the orange wick (not really a filter). The actual two-part filters are not washable/reusable in the sense that it would reduce their efficacy (you could wash them and reuse them but it would need to be FULLY dry, the air filtration might be reduced to as low as 70% since fibers take on different shape and such after being wet, and most importantly it will void your warranty since in theory it could increase the wear on the motor spinning the impeller causing premature wear). Assuming you mean the orange wick which should always stay saturated.

Months later I have been prompted to run another deep clean and viola , once again the rotten egg smell is back. This is ridiculous, the Dyson filter cleaning is flawed

      Take out the lid/pump. There is a small notch to remove the screen, clean the screen well, there is also a plunger of some sort that comes out. Rise that all really well. Clean the screen. Make sure the top of the lid/tank is 100% dry. Like really really dry. Unplug the machine and restart the deep clean cycle. Eventually worked for me with some bumbling.
