    As a new FT-991A owner I REALLY appreciate your videos and thoroughness explaining the different menu settings. I had tried reading the owners manual but it was a bit overwhelming. KI5QHM/AE

    I'm a new ham (tech 2 months ago, general this week). Your 991 playlist series is a HUGE help for me. Thank you very much for your detailed function by function explanations. Cleared up a TON for me. Looking forward to finishing the rest of it.

    Excellent tutorial! Being a ICOM user I was a little leery of diving into the Yaesu world for fear of a complicated learning curve vs the Icom. My fears are unsupported. My Icom 7300 and my FT-991A are actually very much alike in the labeling of the various transceiver menu functions. Yes, the menu's navigation differs between the two rigs but that is just a matter of my spending time with the FT-991A. Thank you for taking the time and effort to go through these menu function do's and don'ts....very helpful! KD2WOW

      Thanks for your kind words - I have several other videos about the 991A out there - I also do videos about the Kenwood TS-890S, general ham radio stuff, and contesting. By far, the FT-991A videos have been my most successful. I will be posting two videos this weekend. First the 991A connecting to WSTJ-X, then the same video for the TS-890S - both will have some extras about WSJT-X (FT-8/FT4/JT65/WSPR, etc.) that I've come across in the last several years I've played with that program. Next week will be another dual 890s/991s about connecting and using Ham Radio Deluxe. If you haven't already, please subscribe so you'll be the first to know when these and others are released. 73 de Tom, ND3N

      Personally, I think this is the best rig in the price range, and the only one to also offer VHF/UHF. 73 de Tom, ND3N

    Hi! There sir . Maybe have some linear amp like 2 meter band 144 to 148 mhz want buy it 500w out. A second hand in good condation sir.. Hope. 73

    • @ND3N
      @ND3N  Před 2 lety

      I don't think there's anything like that on the market, at least not in a single package. You could certainly pick up an amp and use the rig as a driver for it. But, I'm not a fan of amplifiers and have never used more than 100W on HF and 50 watts on VHF/UHF, and I do just fine. But as I say in a lot of my videos - Your mileage may vary - it's your shack, set it up the way you want to... 73 de Tom

    Great video other than the MAGA hat and Parler dog whistles

      It’s not a MAGA hat, and I switch off between colors on occasion…. Not sure what dog whistling I was doing, but I try very hard to be apolitical in my videos
