But the shipping.... AtGames asks $100 shipping for an entire pinball table. NWT wants $55 shipping (probably cheaper the closer you get to NWT HQ) for this control deck. And that's not 2 day or overnight. Because of this: NO SALE.

The replicade looks nifty. My only nostalgia for golden tee is playing this in bars. I love NWT, but this isn’t for me. I can’t wait to see the next replicade, hopefully a 70’s or 80’s cabinet.
I'm pretty sick of all the negativity from some of the NWT fans if they don't get exactly the machine they want. NWT just released Berzerk and Frenzy (god forbid it didn't say stern on it) and for some reason thats not good enough. And then people had a big issue with a usb charger cigarette machine...its a usb charger so why do people care so much? Then there was the non functional pinball machine, that i understand being not happy, but wow did people get pissed off about that one. There is no end in sight for them putting out more stuff, people need to just sit tight and wait for something they want to buy comes along.
Negativity is never fun. I actually LOVE the pinball and I preorder one. I can understand the cigarette machine, which makes sense to me. It’s all about market research IMO. What an excellent idea to do a survey on skee ball. I will be the first to preorder skee ball. GT is ok, but definitely not something I would get. I started collecting late and missed out on all the great cabs already released like Q-Bert. It would be awesome to bring back the old cabs that sold well in the survivor line.
Im really digging what you said about the future of Glen and NWT. Would also love to get a Tron and an Area 51. Id be fine if they were not playable on the machine.
Really excited about this announcement. I have owned every cabinet released by New Wave Toys and the machines that standout are the more modern ones. I play these cabinets on occasion and they are fun for what they offer.
Ive been an arcade nut since the 80s, been collecting ful-sized machines since 2002 and Arcade1Up, NWT and Numskull arcade products since they came out. I appreciate the connection between keeping it 1/6 scale but then also making it playable, but I buy the NWT 1/6 scale as beautiful pieces of arcade art that are as close to the original machines as possible for displaying. Those are collector pieces to me. If I want to have and play the original cab, I'll look to buy a full cabinet or see if another product is out there like an Arcade1Up, etc... If I want some miniatures to keep on the bar to play at home, thats where the Quarter Arcades come in. Now I realize not everyone has those options available to them, so like I said, I think it's good they're thinking about playability. But if this doesn't go over well, then I say just stick to making a great 1/6 scale product, at a great price, that really isn't supposed to be an arcade machine that gets a ton of play, its a replica(Replicade) Or change or add to your business model and make a larger machine that is playable. Having a separate deck for TV play just doesn't soothe my arcade itch 😊 Just my opinion though...
Really good take on the announcement.... these have been my thoughts too. I assume American Gear is responsible for the construction of the arcade deck itself, while GRS produced the controls. If so, It would be interesting to see them make some sort of pedestal to set the deck being used on top for play... with storage for other arcade decks of future Replicade games inside the pedestal compartment. On a side note... for everyone hoping that this was going to be a full sized replica, imagine how much that would have cost if this bundle is already at $400.
I bought one of the Replicades just to add to the arcade ambiance, no real reason to but I did. My late father loved golf so I thought I would put something on the customizable topper to honor him.
Like how everyone seems to think Golden Tee is a great Idea! Problem is.. it has already been released many times. Do the Games which need Saving! That is all...

Preordered the replicade. The deck…I like the concept but can play these games on other cabs already. I enjoy collecting the NWT cabs for decoration mainly. Now gimme a mini pub/bar table with a couple mini steins of beer to go with it. Beer soaked drink coasters too. 😂
Not my jam but it's great to see these two companies collaborating. I'm sure it amounts to a licensing restriction but it would be nice to see the console offered as a standalone product. ⛳
I have real GT and a real SS. Wish this had SS..... I bought the 1/6 scale but don't need the large CP. The 1/6 is a A1Up but I love GT and it will fit nice in my ultra mini line up.
Fox IDK man it's hard enough finding room in the house for just replicades the thought of owning many separate control panels piled up somewhere in the house is not exciting. Maybe a one off here and there.
Sorry, disagree. This is a great bundle, ordered it right away. THE mini will be a great display in the game room, plus Golden Tee on a big flat screen mounted on the wall, that's what's happening here. Just taste I think, I do have a couple of multicades with Golden Tee, but they're medium sized bar tops, Golden Tee will look nice on a huge screen on the wall.
You hit the nail on the head about that these machines are supposed to be accurate representations of classic arcade machines…here’s the problem…this isn’t accurate at all. Golden Tee 3D, 9x, and 2k series cabinets had a completely different look. The cab that NWT has here is the cabinet that came out when the Golden Tee Fore series came out. The classic series had black or green box or Midway style cabinets; not the White Swoop cabinets.
I thought I remembered seeing a ‘99 cab with white swoops back in the day. Looked up arcade-museum and it showed a flyer in the format starting with Golden Tee '97 Tournament Edition.
Absolutely not. I'm a nostalgia person for golden tee; washed dishes and went to the bar area to play golden tee in '97-98; lots of good memories...I already got my nostalgia machine for my home bar now.
Glen is awesome and i love his show and many of his products. But the track ball on the buildacade isn't perfect (it doesn't really work well for Golden tee since it doesnt freely spin) and the trackball he made for the 12 in 1 arcade1up isn't great either. I did hear he made an upgrade to it, but the 12 in 1 trackball I have from him doesn't freely spin and is loud/hollow feeling (lights up which is cool). I did read from Glen this track ball is heavy so thats a really good thing. But for a 100 dollar upgrade for this trackball I would want to see a working prototype.
The problem with Glen’s Tron controller is that it’s too small and is 3/4 the size of A1up’s and the Bally arcade controller. I really wish Glen would make this controller full size and accurate. I have large adult hands his is made for kids hands.
Just know that Glen had been telling NWT for years that they needed to raise their prices. Glen couldn’t justify his crap attempt at a mini arcade with a significant higher price…he didn’t want to drop the price and no one bought that trash. As for NWT, they are truly having a bad year. Zoltar was supposed to have shipped a few days ago (still hasn’t happened). The pinball looks like crap and is overpriced. This cabinet is Complete trash. Zero nostalgia and crap price point. This will be the first cab (I have every single one so far) that I will not buy. They had better come up with something significant before the end of the year or we may be seeing the beginning of the end of NWT.

But with Black Hole disappointing many, feels like this announcement needed to knock it out of the park. You are likely right over the target. Zoltar likely happened for the licensing deal as so many companies released products of zoltar last year. NWT had production issues and have had to double the price for it. They almost seem to be encouraging early buyers like myself to cancel so they won’t lose money on the product. (I’m hoping for Robotron myself, but not encouraged with this kind of 💩 release)
I think CZcamsrs should only give their opinion when they are on American soil. I'm not sure what that means, but this is a win for nwt fans. In 2024 I'm waiting for any company to release a 3/4 cabinet to become the new king of home arcade.

And no one has nostalgia for a lap version of a bar game. 2) It lacks the “walk up and play” factor of arcade machines that make them a hit at parties. 3) The price is insane. Full stop. 4) The market is saturated with Golden Tee. People want new, and this isn’t. 5) It’s a waste of Glen’s talent. Release this man on a full size machine already. 6) No one asked for it. The market has been begging and pleading for new, full-size machines. This ain’t it.
Why would someone pay $399 for a replicade the size of a 2 liter soda bottle, when I can pay$499 and get $100 kohls cash for a Golden tee Deluxe that’s almost 6 feet.
