I still love my Golden Tee XL cab. Anytime I have company over they always play this cab the most. I followed your monitor upgrade mod as well and it’s a huge difference. Thank you for that Fox! 🍻

@@davidphillips2326 yes. I still love it. I changed the monitor watching 19kFox CZcams video tutorial. It’s a huge hit with me and any company that comes over. It’s the party cab.

I understand why people do unboxing reviews. You don't know much about the game until you have spent time with it. Love the 6 month review.
I honestly like the idea of the XL cabinets! The only issue with A1U for me is that I really just prefer having the full size cabinets as I don't like like look of them with my real cabinets, so I stick away from them, minus the T2, $299 was too good to pass up :) I still think the current sizes are still a little too smell, I really wish it could be like 6'-6.5'
If they do like a UMK3 XL or other XL games, I definitely would consider investing in one :)

Really like it after I did the monitor swap that you showed. Really didn't like it before I did the monitor swap.
I like playing golden tee on the ALU....if you hit a sandtrap or the water you can use the rewind button...and the screens bigger
I'm loving Golden Tee 99 on my ALU, has so much replay. This is a cool cab sans the issues.

Hey Fox. I replaced the monitor and it lasted 2 months, had to put stock one. Other than that I love this game. Nice size, looks great and good games. Added coin door lights and it's done!!!!!

Really interesting about the scuffs on your new cab, I have MVC2 and it came with similar damage to the marquee area. Wonder if it's something to do with the new slide in shape? Also, $399 is the true price point for all of their cabs IMO. After owning 12 1Ups, I have to say the best value was grabbing X-Men for $380 at Best Buy and T2 for $399 at Amazon.
Totally agree with your price evaluation. Pay over $500 for a cab with a faulty monitor no way never. Hoping we’ll see 399 Black Friday pricing

I agree. The cabinet itself with its size is the best part about it. Not so much the games (except WCB). I'd mod it into a 3 player PIT-FIGHTER. 👍🏾💯
I bought this day 1...replaced the monitor....when i have parties its always the most played cab and i own 20 right now.....crazy but true!

Best Buy in store has a deal for $489.00 US on this pro cab I could not pass up. While I was at it I picked up Ridge Racer for $499.00
This will be added to the Tron, Dragons Lair, Joust, and Tempest Cabinets I bought since the beginning of December 2022.
One left to go…and I really don’t want to pay a grand for it is Star Wars.

I sold my original Golden Tee cab. I play it now on my Legends Ultimate. The XL is a perfect size. Too bad the monitor was so bad.
I did the same, and I love my legends ultimate other than the track ball, very stiff and doesn’t spin much - is yours the same or any tips?? My golden tee experience on this hasn’t been great

Yes. I bought my monitor for 50 bucks off ebay. Easy to change following his instructions. Honestly, for the size, appearance, and the amount of replay this cab gets I would buy it all over again. And I paid full price for it. If your not gonna do the monitor update, then no.

Just got mine. Anyone else having issues with the video display? My screen is so pixalated it looks like a handheld from 1985. I didn't view this in the store and bought it without seeing it. Example - bowling the pins look like blobs and the bowling ball.looks like a fur ball. Is this how it is?

It was definitely not worth the original price, but I’m a bitter previous owner. Do like the size and look. $399-$450 is what it’s worth imo.
Wouldn’t mind seeing newer versions of GT and get Silver Strike…though I don’t think they could emulate it. Maybe a pedestal version…put money into the emulation and let us connect to our own tv.
I doubt we will ever see an XL cab for $450.

I didn’t switch to real arcades, I just have both. Reviews will continue if they release something that interests me.
