They know it's happening more & more. They really should keep generators ready for backup. Just as easy to pay for gas in them as electricity. It could save a lot of lives.
Well we could adopt it's just shock it's normal if we didn't have power for months or years then we would adopt .but because we're so used to electricity it's just normal to be concerned because we're used to living in Comfort with air conditioning not to mention people that just went food shopping now we have to worry about that. I just spent $250 on Amy's burritos because I have to eat healthy so I only pray that I don't have to replace those because I can't afford it
In the past they built buildings differently. They were built with airflow/breezeways in mind. Today, with the assumption of AC you do good if you can get a breeze.
I was at program yesterday and the power went out briefly then came back on again just long enough for us to have our karaoke night. I came back home and the lights were out.

No power for us. Reserve Township. 6 hours
Shadyside powered out at 5 PM. Finally restored at 2:50AM. Almost 10 hour power outage. I have never experienced such in the past 30 years.
