Sorry about the crazy loud crickets, I was using a new mic set up.
lol, gives it a very authentic feel.
@@ryanmontisnlp That is what I aim to do.
Didn't even notice, they're a way of life here too😁
Great review, got mine yesterday, assembled it in 1 1/2 hours and I’m a tiny woman. I must say the instructions were on point. Using mine tomorrow for the first time and can’t wait. Happy Grilling everyone!
Great review. I have a 2006 e310 still kicking! Definitely getting a new one when this finally dies. Replaced flavour bars and racks once 3 years ago. Still works like new!
thank you so much for this review. gonna buy my first grill and had no idea how to shop around for one. i heard the name of this one on several videos of top grills and your review was thorough and perfect that i feel this is a solid investment. great job!
Awesome review! Thank you. This review did help me go with this older version Spirit.
I've had this exact same grill for almost 7 years now; love it. Can't say enough about Weber grills, wouldn't have any other one after having this. Even got a Baby Q grill for camping. You mentioned in your review about getting rust on the bottom area. Even with a cover on mine over the years, yes, I have some rust down there; minimal at best, but still there.
As long as it keeps cooking like it does, I'm in! I grill year long so having a tough grill is great, even with snow on the ground.
You may think about putting down a grill mat under your grill, seeing as you have a nice looking deck. After awhile, a lot of gunk will build up under there. Mine sits on a cement slab & there's still a lot of dirt from the grill under there.
Good review BTW! Happy grilling!
I like the way you talk.
It’s kinda soothing.
Also nice review!
Thanks for the video. It has been a nightmare trying to decide what to buy! Everyone claims broil kings are more well made, but then the reviews are terrible at times. I think I'll go with what you have.
Love the meat montage. Thanks for the great review.
This is one of the best real reviews on this grill. Thank you! 🙏🏼
Thank you for that. Was not sure how it would go over as some random guy in youtube reviewing a grill.
Thank you for the thin foil idea. Awesome review.
Happy to have helped.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews I agree! The tin foil idea is genius! Thank you so much!
Excellent review... Very helpful.. Thank you very much
Wow! Thanks for the great review! This was a big help! I like the differences you pointed out on the E-310 versus spirit II. This made my decision! E-310 it is!
I've had the same Weber for 8 years now. I live in Ontario and I BBQ year round, even in the winter. Mine is set up for natural gas. What a great idea, lining the lower drip tray with tin foil. I'm gonna do that too. I have a cover but quit using it as the wasps keep building a nest underneath the cover and I'm allergic to their sting. I also have a Weber rotisserie for it that I cook rotisserie chicken on.
Just got a spirit smart grille
10 year warranty and 3 years with Lowes ! I’m happy with my purchase 10 of 10 stars ⭐️
The big thing on the spirit II is the 10 year warranty on all parts on the grill where as the regular spirit has 10 years on the hood, firebox, and burners, 5 on of the racks and flavorizer bars, 2 years on everything else.
Had a Genesis for about 15 years. It died so now looking at the Spirit 310. Going to buy because my Aluminum (or stainless steel?) grates will fit perfectly, and I personally prefer those grates to the cast iron. A grill with those grates is substantially more $$, so its a win for me.
Bought one 2 months ago. It’s awesome. Last Weber lasted 30 years as a family hand me down.
Good good video, right to the point and good review. thanks dude
Great video. Just ordered my spirit 310 over the spirit 2 for the exact reason you explained at around 9 minutes.
one of the most useful reviews I've ever seen
Happy I was able to help.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews Bought it because of what I learned in your review and it fits my need perfectly.
Glade to hear it.
I have the same grill. Love it.
I just picked this one up today. Had my spirit 2 burner for 18 years.
that is good to know.
Great video.Just got one of this babies. :-)
I just bought one today from Lowes and they are going to assemble and deliver it for free. This is my first Weber grill. I had a Charbroil that lasted 7 years. I didn't think it heated up too well unless it is 90 degrees out. I really hope this one gets hotter and can sear steaks better than the Charbroil. I had a hard time deciding between the regular Sprit E-310 and the Spirit II version, but ended up getting the original Spirit because I liked the taller hood, the four wheels, and the enclosure. I hope I made the right decision!
I think you will be happy with your decision. I know I have been.
I just have to add, those "weird little pictures" on the knobs are the original Weber kettle grill that sorta defined home grilling for decades lol
Thank you for detailing it well ..
Happy I was able to help.
Just got this used for 50 bucks at a thrift store! It was in great condition and I'm honestly just replacing some things because I can.
Thats a steal.
looking to get one thanks for the info
Nice just got one
gerard Ford do you like it? I was wondering I should get this one or the spirit II e-310
I know this is old video. But if you still have it. Run a bead of clear silicone along the seem at the bottom where the legs join the bottom. Because they do rust there. It’s the only down fall I found on this grill. Had mine from 2012 had to replace that bottom shelf once. But the nice thing about Weber is you can get any part for them still. I am a Weber fan for life.
I do still have it. I love this grill. So far, I have been okay. I keep it covered all the time; I just uncover it to use it. But I will look into hitting that seam just in case.
Hi Sir. I’m possibly buying a used one tomorrow. Did I understand correctly the neither of the side tables fold down?
@@dannyrose9297 That is correct. They are fixed in place.
Great review! Does the cabinet underneath the grill get warm when you bbq? I’ve heard that the gas hose may become damaged if you keep it underneath the grill instead of beside it.. any thoughts?
I've always had the tank inside and the hose has also been in there it seems far enough away and I haven't had any problems. In fact I just went out and double-checked everything still looks good.
FYI the chain was for light with matches, when the igniter not working.
Are you still using and enjoying this grill? Does it do anything to lessens the flavor of the food you cook on it? I have heard that is a common issue with some gas grills.
Hi! Nice review! Thank you for the information you provided. I am curious how is it going after 2.5 years of usage of the grill? Is there any rust or other problems?
Still holding up very well, no rust at all. I don't really clean it as much as a should be but the only thing I do is keep it covered when not in use and that seem to have been working out very well for me.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews Great! Thank you for quick reply! I even decided to subscribe to your channel - many interesting things going on there :D
@@ilyagolubev2268 Happy to help, and thanks.
I have this exact gas grill. It was delivered assembled. Question, does your grill have a heat deflector under the burners? While cleaning I noticed mine does not. I see many, if not all Weber grills do, and wondered if they did not include mine while assembling. Thx for any help
It does not so you're not missing a part.
Wanderer001 thx for confirming!
How is it holding up? Any rust on the base? Is the Weber cover holding up? Thanks for the review
It has been holding super. Zero rust on the base and I still have the original Weber cover that gets like 90% sun every day. I will admit that I do keep the grill covered all the time when not in use.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews I've been shopping for a grill all week and I keep seeing the reviews with the rust at the bottom base which keeps making me second guess myself. Im so glad to know yours is standing strong. I will definitely get a cover. Thanks for the reply!
@@Wanderer001_Reviews Thanks for the update! I’ve been going back and forth between this and the Spirit 2 model for the past couple days. I like this one more for the reasons you mentioned and because the lid on this model felt a lot more substantial in the store. I’ve just been hesitant to pull the trigger because I’m worried about dealing with rust. The Spirit 2 gives you 10 years on everything while the cabinet on this model is only covered for 2. I plan on keeping it covered and I know how that can trap the humidity at times.
@@chidrock If it helps you out any more, I did go back out just now to make sure there was still no rust, and its still good.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews Oh that’s cool / no need to do that - I’m guessing you would know it’s there by the way some of the reviews out there go lol. Thanks anyway!
Don’t love how the newest models now only have a very small back panel. They were cheap and still use the same brackets so there are empty holes where bolts would go. To me it takes it down a notch.
That is upsetting to hear.
I find i can’t lift tank onto weight scale. Any one know a trick for this?
I found that I lean it on the floor of the grill first then wiggle it close to the scale then drop it on quick.
Hank Hill in NY? : ) I love the crickets!
Kind of a dumb question but how are you able to pull the black drip pan out?.. mine hits the door lol
Not dumb I have to remember every season myself. The trick is you don't actually open the door all the way. You open the door so it's at a 90 degree angle and then the drip pan will be able to come out and not be blocked by the corner the door.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews Thanks.
I bought this grill assembled from Lowes.
Do you wish you would have got the higher btu 310 model?
For me not at all. This has done everything and more than I want for a grill.
It takes my BBQ 15 min to get up to 400-450. Won't go to 500 - what's yours like? Ty
I can only get to about 450-500 in 10 minutes. Can the way I let it run to burn off anything from the last grilling session and they do a quick clean.
I set up my E310 today. I did the 20 min 500-550 degree "burn in" the manual recommends before first use. ~10 min to get to temperature; and I should have turned it down after it warmed up because my grill maxed out the temperature gauge (600+) when I returned to the grill. Those three burners really work well.
Boy, are your crickets baaaad! Thanks for the info, though. Good job, much appreciated…
Part of that was my fault was trying out a new mic.
Love the way it cooks but its an absolute nightmare moving it around with no wheels on one side or handles to move it.
I think you have the sprit 2, this one right here has 4 wheels
Ummm...flat surface...mind blown 🤣😊
the 310 also has 3 burners and the 210 has 2...thats probably the biggest and most important difference
The Spirit II E-310, has three burners which is the one I was referencing.
Flavorizer bars
Not sure if I missed it but how hot can you get your grill?
Weber's are designed to get up to 500 to 550 max temperature.
Wanderer001 Thanks, good video. I have the same one and can’t get mine up to 500. It’s cool today and only went to 450.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews I have a really old Weber silver that I cleaned and rebuilt 4 years ago. I replaced the burners, flavorizer bars, grill grates, thermometer and igniter. It has always buried the needle past 550 when I'm preheating with outdoor temps higher than 40 degrees. I was seriously thinking about buying a Spirit II, but now I'm wondering if my grill is out of whack (in a good way) and maybe I should just rebuild the old warhorse again in a couple of years or find an older unit that has already been rebuilt.
It is no longer $500. Now in 2024 it is going for $620. Also, the Spirit II E-310 comes with a comprehensive 10-year warranty that covers all parts, while this OG Spirit E-310 has a limited 10-year warranty covering only certain parts. Also, the BTUs are slightly different between the two models. 30,000 vs. 32,000 for the OG.
Ya, that is why I stopped saying prices in videos things change. Still very happy with this grill.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews Glad to hear the grill is still going strong. I also prefer this older version of their grill since I like to have the propane tank hidden underneath instead of it hanging from the right side and exposed like in the Spirit II model. Some complaints about this OG model are regarding the limited warranty and higher price. I also read the the OG version has an issue with the bottom of the propane tank scraping the ground when the grill is moved and that the tank is a pain to replace since it's in a closed cabinet. The newer Spirit II has the comprehensive 10-year warranty, a better ignition system and is also $50 cheaper. For a short while, Weber even had color options available for the new model until they did away with that. It was probably cutting into sales of their more expensive Genesis line. So it's like Weber is trying to force people to buy the newer model. I just didn't like to open cabinet design of the Spirit II. So I'm still weighing the pros and cons and haven't made my decision yet. But thanks for your review - it is much appreciated and I hope your grill lasts a long time.
@@michaelk412 Even without the comprehensive 10 year warranty I have family members that have had a Webber for 15 years+ so quality speaking yes I would like to have the better warranty but as long as you take care of it the grill should last.
I bought one of these last year of Craigslist. It was $70. And I hate it. I'm going to clean it up real good, buff the lid, and sell it for $200.
I should have never sold my pellet grill.
I'll bet you voted for Biden........Oh lighten up, very thorough description... thx
Come on, you should have cleaned the grill before making the video.
I like showing that things have actually been used. I hate when I see something that looks like it is being reviewed without being used at all. I look at it as a badge of authority that it has been put through its paces.
