There is a lot of information to digest in this video. Essentially the idea is, is that weber gas grills offers way too many product combinations, with almost 100 combinations. Essentially they have 3 families of gas grills. They have the spirit series, the genesis series and the summit series. The spirit series is their most low end BBQ and is typically what you are going to find in most big box stores across the nation. You will then find that the Weber Genesis is their mid tier grill, this model is their best seller and for good reason, its packed with feature and still is an affordably priced grill as well. Then there is the summit series which is the most expensive in the lineup. Let me tell you which one I like the best.
The Spirit series- There a lot of grills in this line up, and to be honest there isn’t much to like, its. Super basic grill with no features. It does have a great warranty however, really the only reason to buy this grill is if your on a budget, or if your tight on space and need a small grill.
The genesis grill to be me is my favorite grill, its packed with upgrades, still has a 10 year warranty and is still modestly priced..! There is a lot to like about this grill.
The summit series is the most expensive in the series, however even though it is the nicest I would say that it is my least favorite of the bunch, If price was no issue of course I would take this grill, but it is. So I must say it simply isn’t worth double the price. I would way rather spend half the price save my money and get nearly as good of a grill with the weber genesis.
Hope that helps. Don’t forger if your in the Denver Colorado area visit our showroom today.

I absolutely love my Weber Genesis 335 stainless! This is my 3rd Weber in 35 years. It does everything I could ask in a grill. It’s a 2019. I recently bought the full griddle which has turned it into both a grill and griddle. Simply the best.

I bought a spirit 310 in 2014 still have it, still cooks great. I’ve left that grill out in the sun in AZ for 4 years still looks great surprisingly, just put it back under my patio cause it’s earned its spot there. Only thing I’ve ever replaced on it was gas line, and the three gas burners which Weber sent to me for free no questions asked. So to me I will keep buying Weber actually I have a sear wood smoker coming Tuesday from them.

One comment, as you get older (when you are 80 yrs old) it becomes difficult to reach under and back to remove and replace the propane tank. The Spirit II 210 allows you to reach into a much more open and easily access the propane tank for exchanges. Also, on the coast line of Florida it is much easier to roll the Spirit into the garage during a hurricane as compared to the larger models. For me, the propane tank access limits all of the weber products down to the Spirit.

I love my genesis. I have the genesis 2-e335. That extra burner for searing comes in handy, more than I thought it would. I love to use my weber performer when I have the extra time to cook or for when I’m doing cookouts for the family. However, the every day after school or work cooking, I fire up the genesis. Weber is the best and you really can’t go wrong, though!

I remember we had a Weber charcoal grill when I was a child in the 70's! Maybe I'm just feeling nostalgic, but there was just something about them back then. The family would get together for the cookout, the kids would be playing in the yard, the women would be preparing side dishes and gossiping in the kitchen, your dad and uncle(s) would be drinking a beer standing around trying to get the charcoal piled and lit just right ...
"You need to make a pyramid out them"
"No. You want a ring of them to slow cook"
"Just dump it in and light it!"
    "You're using too much fluid!"
    "You're not using enough fluid!!"
    😄 Good times ....
I love Weber grills, but ...Personally, I don't even see the reason to have the mechanism on the side that holds the propane tank and gives you an estimate on how much gas you have or have left.
It just seems like a gimmicky thing to have. If you can afford the Spirit II (which is what I have now) then you can afford to spring a few extra bucks and get a more accurate gauge to hook between the tank and the grill. That's what I did.
However, I would LOVE to have the Summit with the built in gas monitor and all its other "bells and whistles". I can't AFFORD it ...But I'd love to HAVE it. 😁
Thanks for going over them with us. I may just save and upgrade to a Genesis next Summer!

Thanks for an informative review, I was looking around and starting to wonder if I should start shopping for something new. I was just going over my Spirit E310 (the 3 burner) and it seems like it might be around the base Genesis model. 5 years ago it was a little over 500.00. It has served me well on my condo balcony and with at least 3 days a week usage its a tough little bbq. I wish I had the room to get the larger models so I could go into smoking meat and using a rotisserie. I will probably replace the flavorizers (again) because as you stated, the porcelain did crack/chip because I ended up with rust. I will probably get the 10 years of use out of that warranty but for something as small pricewise, I didn't even think to go through the warranty process. Great review again!!

How often do you plan on cooking on it?
How many people are you cooking for?
Do you need more or less grill surface?
Do you need more or less burners?
Caster wheels don’t roll well over rocks.

Yoir warranty information is wrong. My Spirit is just under three years old and they would not replace my failed ignition kit under warranty. The paint is heavily peeling under the hood, not covered by warranty. My flavorizer bars rusted thru in two years

Comparing the different series that aren't loaded the same is not super helpful.
Why have the Genesis and Summit with a bunch of add-ons and the Spirit with none? Why not compare similarly featured grills?
For example: The SP-335 Spirit has been out since 2018 and has three burners, a side burner, sear station, four wheels and enclosed cabinet including SS grills for $999 CDN.
The Genesis S-335 with those add-ons is $1659 CDN as of June 2022. Prices from Home Depot.
Yeah, the Genesis has a bit more grill size (513 sq in vs 424) and BTUs (39,000 vs 32,000) plus the ten year warranty isn't applicable to all parts on the Spirit (figured you might have mentioned that as it's quite a big deal) but the Genesis is just not worth more than a 60% increase for my needs.
The extra bars underneath the flavour bars on the Genesis and Summit wasn't mentioned either.
I grill 3-4 times a week and find the Spirit SP-335 is ideal. Also, when you say things like 'whatever you call it, I think, or I dunno', it kinda takes away from your ability to look knowledgeable. Just sayin'. Thanks!

WARNING : Never Buy a Weber Stainless Steel grill, they simply rust like everything else. If you install wood siding on your house using 304 grade Stainless steel nails, there will shortly be a Black IRON STAIN running down from every nail. To avoid that use only 316 Grade Stainless Steel nails. WEBER uses only 304 grade or lower, in their products and NEVER does Weber use 316 grade stainless.

Keep that little flimsy shelf on the spirit in mind of you are using that shelf to lift and move your grill. Not as big of a deal on the two burning but may become on issue on the 3 burner. I prefer this model of the two burner over the Spirit E-210 with four wheels. That little rim around the bottom catches too much water and is prone to rust. This two wheel is much better IMHO when you are limited on space. great little grill for the $$
