  • Worry is circulating over the expected spending from Treasurer Jim Chalmers’ federal budget and the federal government's application of “Jimbonomics,” says Nationals MP Keith Pitt.
“I am more worried about the federal budget and Jimbonomics and the expectation that he will spend every single cent of what is an absolute boom in additional taxpayer revenue and additional revenue from the resources sector,” Mr Pitt told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.
“We are foreseeing lots of reports from economists and others that inflation continues to be ticking up and out of control.
“Mr Chalmers has to be far more careful and more cautious with the taxpayers’ money and because they can definitely impact what happens with the RBA and the next decision on interest rates.
“That directly impacts every single mortgage holder in this country.”

Give half of Australia 18 months paid holiday Lockdowns-then the workers and beneficiaries are charged triple mortgage interest to pay for it. Labor’s policies are moronic.

@@bretloyd8097 Labor premier’s instigated failed Hotel quarantine and unnecessary lockdowns. Obviously “Self testing”, which Western Australian health Professor David Speers was more than capable of producing in 2020, was all that was needed. Labor’s Chicken Little’s everywhere demanding two years paid home holidays…

Jimbonomics should be called idiotnomics. Chalmers has no idea about how an economy should run.

@@bretloyd8097 With common sense and for the benefit of the population not for the glory of the treasurer, prime minister and the crap fille political part in government. Unfortunately nearly all parties, treasurers and prime ministers only care about their own image so that they can get re-elected intoio office and do not give a damn about the people who put them into office. The worst are sadly the Labor party.

Too bad....blame the Coalition for keeping interest rates far too low, for far too long! Aussies rekindled their romance with housing!!! The rest is history! When pensioners were being deemed more by Centrelink than they received in bank interest, it was time to wake up! Too late now!!!

Liberals had know control on interest rates. Labor has more control on pulling the levers but refuse to do it RBA only has one lever to go up.
