    I really like that Swing Arm for the spare tire on the back bumper. I have looked at the one that attaches to the receiver and just leans back, not really out of the way, but I like yours much better!!

      Wilco makes a swing away hitch tire carrier, or you can get in line for an F44 bumper :)

    Again, great crosstrek. I think you are on the right track with your gear. About the “clutter “…one thing that I have learned in all my camping days, is that it’s a great time to think. You’ll figure it out. Until then. Keep making those videos. Stay safe…be well.

    I have a couple of questions:
    1 is the refrigerator cool enough? In the mountains I guess not much of a problems, I’m Baja where I live it better cool down to 3 degrees (centigrades) lol. Please expand on what temperature your beer goes to.
    I love your rear bumper

      Hey there! Good question, maybe I should do a video on that... anyway. I'll say this. I had it set to 32f and it froze the Limeade I had in there, and it's 101f here currently. And thank you, I also love the bumpers :)

    You think your close to passing your GVWR? I bet you are so close with all the extra gear! Looks pretty fancy though.

    • @TheAdventureZombie
      @TheAdventureZombie  Před 3 lety

      Possibly for a stock trek, but mine isn't really stock, lol. It has all new suspension, and really, the car feels the same, it's like having a load of humans in the car basically.

    You thought about a roof net inside the car for lighter things. Would attach to all the hooks by inside roof handles?? Also what rotopax did you get to hold both the water tanks? Extended. I’m gonna be getting a rack wing. Not familiar with rotopax to the point that Ik what I’ll need.

    • @TheAdventureZombie
      @TheAdventureZombie  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah I have to come up with something like that, that may be an option, I appreciate the suggestion. As for the rotopax I got the deluxe pax mount with the appropriate sized extension (1.75gal and 3gal ext.). Their website is super confusing, I don't blame you. I had to study it, and I still goofed, lol!

      Thank you! I'll be making some tweaks, but it defiantly does the job :) This is a Dometic CFX28, so pretty small. I think it's the smallest one they have. But it works well for my needs.

    Where do you put your fishing gear. I’m trying to figure something out for that

    Beautiful setup, I'm in the process of doing an overland build myself. A question, how do you like the jackery, leaning towards the 500 but thinking if setting up a dual battery setup in the spare wheel well.. Not sure if it's worth double cost

    • @TheAdventureZombie
      @TheAdventureZombie  Před 3 lety

      The Jackery is actually really nice. I was worried I should go bigger like the 1000, or do a dual setup like you were talking about. With this Jackery 500, I keep it in range to be plugged into the car outlet, so it charges while I drive, and I have my Dometic CFX28 portable fridge plugged into that. And today was the first day I pulled out the solar panel. Every other time it's been at 100% when I stopped. But today I stopped early. Anyway, I hope that makes some sort of sense for you, haha!

      Odd, I used my lav mic, and the volume is plenty loud on my devices. Not sure what the issue is there.

    • @TheAdventureZombie

      I've been getting as low as 15, but as much as 23, depending on terrain, weather, etc. So good and bad :p

    • @TheAdventureZombie
      @TheAdventureZombie  Před 3 lety

    Maybe I missed it in one of your previous videos, but can you talk about the details of this trip? What's the destination? Are you moving East, or going out and back? How long will it take (one week or all summer)?
    Just curious. Love the rig. I have a 2015 in white, @nova_xtrek on insta.

    • @TheAdventureZombie
      @TheAdventureZombie  Před 3 lety

      I'm not planning much, lol. I'm headed East to visit family, and doing cool stuff along the way. No real details to be shared really, lol!
      Thanks! I appreciate it :)
