    I just got a 21 sport crosstrek. I don’t really have the money to start upgrading it yet, but when I do because of your videos and your recommendations about rally tek they will be the first company I invest in for sure.

    Love my RalliTek control arms, really well built piece of kit! Your Subie looks awesome by the way.

    Good video. I'm sure i commented on your slider video. Paid, sponsored, etc., I don't care. Because you actually SHOW the stuff in action. The bent arm, the rock moving with sliders. That speaks volumes. Thanks for putting the parts through the torture.

      Thank you! I know some of my videos watch like infomercials, but as you said, it's because I've tested them and stand behind the products. RalliTek makes great parts, there's no doubt about it. Great team of guys working over there.

    Wow Sorry I missed a few things you got going on and a few videos also, I just had to resubscribe to the channel not sure what went wrong there. Any how love the videos also love the Crosstrek I'm a Subaru fan I currently own a 2002 Outback and a 2003 Baja live them both but they are the hardest vehicles to find aftermarket parts for but I will be getting a hold of Ralitek to start my build on the Baja and hopefully they can help finish my build for the Outback. Hope you had a great trip and make it home safely me and the wife took a trip this Summer to Tennessee and it was Beautiful we're from the Chicago area so not a lot of trails around so we have to take a nice ride to find them. But thank You and Ralitek fingers crossed for the videos and all the info that has been provided so far!!!!!

      Thanks for watching, and I know what you mean. You really have to go down the rabbit hole to find parts, lol. RalliTek is a great place to start though :)

    So much to think about. Those rock sliders are Beasts. They surely saved your ass from some Expensive repairs. Then again Ralitek saved your ass with Everything you have from them. Nice shout out for Tom.

    I've been running RalliTek parts for a few years and wish they had a few other parts available. You mentioned that you had to go to Primitive for your rear diff skid plate... I went Crawford. I do wish RalliTek had a rear diff plat available. Also, I originally upgraded to the lift springs front and rear and liked the way they handled normal and soft road driving, but found the rears were undersprung for my camping configuration. I upgraded to the Flatout GR-Plus setup which offers a variety of spring rates. The downside is the coilover ride lacks the tophat bushings and the ride is definitely harsher compare to the OEM or Bilstein struts. I'm planning to swap out spring rates with some additional Magnitude springs and insulate the top bracket from the body and see if that helps at all. I really like the adjustability, but that is currently at the expense of ride quality. I may end up looking into the RalliTek HD rear lift springs... Which I also wish was available at the time I was looking to increase ride weight in the rears. Thanks for the product update. The other issue I found very helpful with RalliTek is their technical support availability. Those guys are great with response time!

      Awesome! Also thank you for being a consistent watcher and commented on my videos :) I agree with your findings on the GR Lites, I hear the same thing about the GR 40s as well. Sorry you've had to swap suspension so many times, but I do know that the Overload Lift Springs should be available for sale within the next month probably. I totally agree, the RalliTek guys are great with helping people out in a timely manner :)

    Hey bud,
    I have installed the ironman ats 2 inch lift, no doubt your suspension is also great, but did you have to lower the sub frame? At 3 inches do you have trouble with you CV's?

    • @TheAdventureZombie
      @TheAdventureZombie  Před 2 lety

      The rear subframe is lowered, and no issue with CVs from the lift. I did split a boot, but that was from getting bogged in a mud pit, lol! There have been zero issues with my lift, and the only side effects have been buckets of fun off road, haha!

    I have a 2021 Trek Sport did a 2" Rough Country lift .. skid plate .. and have 225/65 17" BFG KO2's and I'm seeing today about doing the Bilstein/spring upgrade. I'm curious .. did you ever weigh your rig fully loaded and gassed? Fully loaded with a full tank I hit the scales at 3540 lbs. I took my roof rack off as it was costing me 2 to 4 mpg with nothing in it. I am still getting 30 mpg as an avg. My other rig is an old Ford Explorer that's all built and I do switch back and forth between the two.

    • @TheAdventureZombie
      @TheAdventureZombie  Před rokem

      @sonny1597 The Bilstein shocks with the Rallitek Lift springs are the way to go. Adding spacers gets you 3" of lift, with your tires it should be about 3.5" of lift, and well worth it. I did not ever weigh my rig loaded, but I'm sure I was probably over the GVWR with all the gear I hauled with me. That being said, the car still handled and performed great. I did a trail in Moab with a full load 🤣

    Just curious as to what kind of MPGs you are getting with all that armor, bigger tires, etc

    • @TheAdventureZombie
      @TheAdventureZombie  Před rokem +1

      I'd get between 15 and 24mpg usually, depending on driving conditions, weather, etc.

      Thank you for your response👍
      Seriously considering a 2023 crosstrek sport or limited for the bigger engine,
      My plan is to use it as a daily and a weekend warrior adventure rig. I already have a Tundra that is built out for camping and such. But as you can imagine, gas mileage isn’t great. I would keep my tundra for sure. Your rig is freaking awesome 😎, not sure I’d build mine out quite as much. Because I don’t think I need that. And I’m trying to get a more fuel efficient situation going… in your opinion what should I be thinking about doing to make it more capable for light trail stuff. Tires and wheels, lift, armor, bumper, and winch. I’d like to average 25 or better MPGs. Also how much worse is the ride quality than on the stock setup.
      Thank you for your response and keep up the great Vids!

    You are not running swaybars?. How does the car drive without them(swaybars)

    • @TheAdventureZombie
      @TheAdventureZombie  Před 2 lety

      Well as expected it does sway in corners, but as long as you coast into the corner and accelerate out of it it's hardly noticeable. You won't be rally driving it anymore, that's for sure, haha. But I've been without sway bars since mid April of last year.
