Hey, great unboxing! So much silver! I'm about to invest in either the 1kg 2015 Kook or the 1kg 2015 Lunar Goat (budget only allows for one!), any recommendation after having both of them in your hands?
HTCMichael Aww, man you're going to have me choose between my silver kilo children who I like more :) I like the obverse design of the kook and the reverse matte finish for the queen on the goat kilo. SoCalFreelance Haha you have not made this any easier! I think I'm leaning towards the kook based on looks, but those lunars do seem to gain inordinate amounts of value lately. Decisions decisions! (we all know where this is going... 2kg here I come)

Yo dude, had to watch this again - can't get over the size of this order! Out of interest, did you pay roughly similar per ounce for the ASE / Maples as you did for the Lunars/Kooks? Over in the UK it seems roughly same price per ounce when you compare say a 10oz lunar to ten 1oz ASE, which always makes me think the lunar is a better shout given it may gain a premium and costs no more per ounce. Is it the same in the US?
SoCalFreelance Cheers mate. So looks like you're paying about $19.50 per ounce on the 1kg Kook/Goat, vs $20.40 per ounce on eagle. Obviously that makes perfect sense given you'd expect to pay more premium on 32 separate pieces vs one big piece. It's similar to what I'm seeing as a price difference now as well.
I guess the big question for me is, in 10 years time won't the eagles still just be worth their silver price + a couple of bucks over spot? Whereas the kilos you get for $0.90 cheaper an ounce initially and potentially get a much bigger premium for the collector value further down the line if lucky (and if not, meh cheaper silver)?
I'm asking for my own insight being relatively new to this (just hitting 40 oz lol) - Appreciate it doesn't really matter when you're covered by literally buying all the options! Still can't get over that sick order dude :)

While I appreciate APMEX's variety and quality of products and their excellent service I must caution often times they are not the best value. I regret not doing my research with my last order with them because I would have gotten a much better deal for some of the same products from other PM resellers. Lesson learned, look around other sites and their prices before committing on any order. Welcome to the community, look forward to your first silver stacking video :)

I heard JMbullion.com is a really great place to purchase stuff from. I see tons of videos from them and testimonies. I want to buy something from them. The unboxing videos are fun to watch. Lately ive been getting paranoid of investing into silver because of all the fakes floating around. Being new, this stuff will make you nervous no matter how many videos you watch about how to tell if silver is fake. But of course, im not going to let that stop me lol

Thanks Ronin! Hopefully people recognize my buying strategies:
1. Large kilo & 100oz coins/bars are some of the lowest premium silver you can buy.
2. When you do purchase higher premium silver like the ASE buy in bulk to get the lowest premiums which is why I purchased 100 of them in one shot.
3. Look for unique products like the horse privy maples which I quickly recognized people would want and now you can't find them.
4. Look for special deals. I visit PM websites often and every so often they will have specials on products like 1oz bars, that's the time to buy

This was a period of time when I was able to collect a lot of overtime basically doubling my salary for about 6 months. Instead of blowing the money on useless crap I started a precious metals stack with it, part of my long term savings.

You sure did load up on silver there... I wonder how much you have now... four years later... I find the beautiful design of the Kilo coin is so much more than having 32 ounces of the bars... I have to admit that a 100 ounce bar is impressive... I just think... why don't they put a beautiful design on the bars?

how much is the cost of 1 kilo australian kookuburra and the price of 1 kilo australian horse?
For the 2014 Australia 1 kilo Silver Lunar Horse difficult to say as there are not too many on the market. If I had to guess I would say $600 - $700. For the 1 kilo Kookaburra it would depend on the year. Generally, the older the coin the more expensive it is.

@@micomarinas2753 Sure, the source I use to find the spot price for a kilo of gold is silverprice.org Scroll down to the middle and you'll see a chart where you can see the current price for a kilo and 1oz of gold and silver. Of course the price you pay will be slightly more than the spot price. So right now a kilo of gold is $42,156 USD.

When silver is higher it's better to buy coins and fancy bars when silver is low you are better of buying generic or silver shot or large bars, so could be worse. Nice order
Edward Kostreski Hey Ed, appreciate the input. My stacking strategy is certainly open to change, after all I've only been stacking for less than a year. For now I think I'm going to stick with trusted recognizable products from established mints. I feel this gives me an advantage if/when I sell.
SoCalFreelance yea for example silver eagles are 3.19 over spot on APMEX when silver is less than $15 but they will be lik 0.99 over spot when silver goes back to 30

4:41 - "security feature on the back" LOL. I bought fake gold bars from the darknet several years ago (yes I knew they were fake) that had similar "security features" on them. Doesn't mean a thing!!!
I would only recommend purchasing bullion products from reputable dealers. Never from ebay and certainly never from Tor sites. The security features are one of several things that counterfeiters rarely get right so their mistakes stand out right away to an experienced collector like myself. Plus those features (unique serial number, unique finish, reeded edge, pattern on the back) makes counterfeiting them more difficult.
