  • Dry Dropper fishing on a Euro Nymphing setup is a great way to fish. This video features a fly that will help the angler suspend heavier flies under a dry fly for longer.

Taking thread turns through the deer hair stubs as you work towards the eye will really lock the deer hair in before you whip finish. Great fly, nice job!

Really enjoyed this video, and how you explained what products you were using and why. Would love to see more fly tying videos, if you have the time to create them.

Outstanding high visibility caddis, these old eyes can use a pattern like that. See you at the fly tying symposium.

Great version of a CDC Caddis. One question, other videos mention you can’t use a “pretreat” solution on CDC. Is the one you use ok for that?

Nice fly tie , but the preatreatment floatant is very likely a " forever" chemical /s that is too frequently released into our environment . I to use them as floatant but have decided to cease their usage e.g. Rainex, Scotchguard, etc. The manufactures tend to not tell us what ingredients they use in these water proofing liquids. Many of these chemicals are being recognised as cancer causing - once in our bodies we cannot get rid of them - if using them, handle with care.

    What material is the dubbing?

How do you dry drop from a fly with no barb?

They surgeon knot a tag end like when euronymphing, about 4-5 inches then the nymph is 20 inches below. That way you can change from a double nymph setup to a dry dropper setup with easy. You can’t attach flies to the hook with competitive fly fishing.

What dropper bead size do you use with this one? It’s a good fly, but I have wind resistance when casting if I use smaller beads. Just wondering how you deal with the wind resistance issue when casting without wf line.
