this game deserves a remake
It certainly does, but it's not likely to get one. The series has long since moved on from the arcade-y feel of the PS1 era, focusing more on the nations and their conflicts. The aircraft and factions in Electrosphere will remain canon, but the events experienced in the game won't.
If anything, we *might* see a remake for Nintendo Switch, but again, it's unlikely.

@@Dumbrarere Sadly, I agree with you wholeheartedly. I'd love to see a remake of it that kind of blends the original feeling/story of the game with the aspects of the later titles, even if it means some major changes overall. However I can't see this ever being remade, even by Nintendo.

@@zorn2017 Not only that but missiles act as they should IRL too, they go towards where you're going to be not where you are, making them far more accurate than AC7 missiles not named QAAM.
Ace Combat is living proof of the words “are the developers ok?” After playing a mission that’s makes you dogfight a plane underwater in a tunnel on a timer
Ikr? You get anyone looking at 1:08 when you read the Altimeter and it says -583, negative altitude. "Everything's gone insane"... and I love it XD

Probably because the gap between The Unsung War and Electrosphere has been bridged. Discounting ACX and Skies of Incursion the Fenrir is cool but goddamn those aren’t very good games especially the latter

@@alicorn3924 honestly just look up the whole Gleipnir boss fight and you’ll kinda get the gist. The writing was bad and iirc the story wasn’t anything special. Plus it had a mobile prequel called AC: Skies of Incursion that barely worked before it was removed from the App Store. Did like Fenrir though that thing was sick.
The AC7 aesthetic made me realized that the Aurora is essentially the Darkstar but actually canon.
Maybe not. To the best of my recollection, we don't see Dision using the Aurora outside of the simulation, making very little in AC3 part of canon since the events haven't happened, at least not yet.
Would be interesting to see it go that way though. I'd love a remake of AC3 that expands on what happens after Simon releases Nemo.
Darkstar always existed
The Soviet engineers in their otherworldly creations made plans for Darkstar too. It was going to be missile carrier until well.. dissolution
UPEO ending was the best outcome story wise, but the Neucom and General Group endings were brilliantly done.
Neucom ending is the saddest one cuz Fifi lost his sister, and General Resource is the shitiest one cuz you killed your both UPEO former buddies, killed Cynthia, Rena, and Mr.T looking buddy went down just so you could get a chance gunning down Dision
I feel bad for Fiona. In the one ending she actually lives in, she lost her sister.

I love literally everything about that fan animation. You've done some amazing work!
It really looks scarily close to AC7's visuals while staying true to the design of the setpiece in 3. The cinematography and camerawork perfectly blends AC3's original intro cutscene with a lot of influences from AC7's more cinematic replay mode shots sprinkled in and throughout the rest of the video, as well as the sound design taking a lot of similar SFX from AC7 (or using very fitting replacements).
A couple very interesting liberties were taken here with changing the mission from a tailing/follow mission to a full chase mission. Using the AC7 soundtrack "Offline" at the tense intro was a nice addition, but changing the whole mission to a high-speed chase and using the banger that is "Revelation" on the actual chase was a touch of genius.

@@Meteorknite From what i've heard the international AC3 version was heavily cut because of low budget. Management didn't want to invest in full voice translation and 2CD release for an unknown franchise.

I mean, anti-capitalism moments of AC3 are quite mild compared to some stories. And the very genre of cyberpunk is built on megacorporations overtaking governments and abusing people.

Based eletrosphere content
There will never ever be a game like ace combat 3 ever again, A historical fiction anime air combat sim with a choice based multiple ending campaign and deep philosophical discussion with well developed, memorable characters... modern games struggle with memorable characters and more than one ending. Talk about niche, this is what it looks like when the devs aren't designing a game for profit, but for the joy of it. God, and then there's the music...

@@jimmyromero7110 Kono ha dicho públicamente que Electrosphere no es muy de su agrado, y lo entiendo, si mal no recuerdo él no estaba al mando de la franquicia por lo cual ACE3 es la obra de otro director, además que me parece que Kono se inclina más por aviones de 3ra a 5ta generación y ACE3 va al menos 2 generaciones más allá y es mucho futurismo que se basa en no mucha realidad. De hecho, Project ACES no existía cuando se hizo ACE3, eso empezó con AC04, creo que él empezó como director con AC5 y es por eso que tenemos Ace Combat como tal se definió a partir de ahí.
@@NinjaSpecter Pues F pero por él porque si bien AC3 trata de una sociedad casi q distópica para nada surrealista sabiendo q siempre hay guerras, la saga como tal siempre ha tenido elementos de Sci-fi. Además de que muchos de sus aviones en la realidad estarían mucho más allá de las generaciones actuales como el Falken, Fenrir, Raven etc. AC7 me dio la sensación de encaminar el juego al futurismo y crear bases como por ejemplo la creación del primer Geofrente a los pies del elevador espacial y la presencia de Simon y Marta en el libro de Aces at war. Sin mencionar q en el canon ACx (q sí ya estaba él junto al de AC5) ocurre un año después ya posée aviones que parecen ser predecesores directos de los de AC3 como el Forneus y el Fregata. La verdad es que te puede gustar o no una cosa (me refiero a Kono) pero AC3 está en el canon y creo q los juegos posteriores deben ser conexiones ya q AC3 puede q no sea el de la mejor historia (q a mí me encanta la complejidad de la misma) pero es sin duda el más llamativo de la saga ya q es único. Lo siento mucho texto xd.

Ah yes, I remember this. A tunnel run then an underground dogfight with superplanes shortly after. This mission and the one after it were fun and a bit of a pain in the arse lol

Really nicely done! Played through Electrosphere recently and got this mission on my first route.
Having AC:AH's look feature was a cute little touch, as well as the re-created HUD. I'd say you could improve it visually by toning down environment shine and maybe the camera shake in a few places :)
It's nice to see that people still care about AC3. The fans definitely deserve a complete translation of the original release.

Only a few things i wish were different:
1) Authentic R-103 high-pitch engine sound instead of the generic one.
2) No HUD and no QTE promt.
Or at least the original HUD with correct 168 missiles in stock and 4 ready to use (come on, it's a unique feature of AC3)
3) A bit of turbulence effects when planes turning.
4) Variable distance between planes. Instead of perfectly holding within 30 meters one could lag behind and later catch up.
Or even add character by making Rena always stay behind Dision like a subordinate while Nemo and Fiona overtake each other like equals.
5) Screen smear at the end like in the game.
Still, very nice work regardless.

As someone who has been obsessed with AC3 since age 5 (and tunnel vision being my favourite mission), this is absolutely breathtaking. Great job. my only little nitpick here is that I really wanted to hear the original night raven sound, but instead heard a different raven.

Something that really puzzled me about the Geofront tunnels' design is that lore-wise there's no reason for some of those tunnels to exist. Like those hexagonal tunnels don't seem to serve any purpose other than for planes to fly through them, and as I understand it, the Geofront wasn't really designed with that in mind.
Like the Death Star, they were probably intended as ventilation shafts.

Thanks for hitting me on the head with the nostalgia bat. Also I keep forgetting that AC3 had an ENTIRE mission where you flew inside a tunnel. It was only the 3rd game in the series and yet it was pulling that nonsense already!
It would really be cool to see a legacy edition of the first three AC games on PC.The storyline of AC3, the Japanese version, needs to see the light of day more officially. Graphics like this would be incredible so great work.
