Lewistown Pistol Club - June IDPA Match - Ruger GP100 Match Champion Revolver 10mm/.40S&W REV/SS

Video of the June Lewistown Pistol Club (LPC) Outdoor IDPA match. A great challenging match - 8 stages of just about every challenge you could imagine.
Shooting a Ruger GP100 Match Champion10mm/.40S&W revolver as Enhanced Service Revolver (ESR) using.40S&W in TK Customs GP100 0.050 Moon Clips in the REV/SS division/classification.
LPC always tests shooters with their stages and today was no different. Several stages were not IDPA legal as per the rules (Stages 5, 6, 7), but they still provided different challenges to pistol shooting and made for an interesting day.
I had issues on the back half of the stages on the day.
Stage 6 - shooting a VTAC barricade, with a revolver, in the heat is less than ideal but was a fun challenge. Total of 9 shots - 1 from each opening at a different target so each target ends up with 3 hits on it. I was just slow and had issues getting the angles for shots.
Stage 7 - the Dicken Drill! 40 yards, 10 shots, (8 scored) 15 second par time. I was unsure where my GP100 was hitting at long distance, so I guessed - guessed wrong. Hit the target 2x out of 10 shots. 6 misses there is a match killer.
Stage 8 - standards stage. I dropped the head shot (1x miss) at the weak hand target. Guessed again where my revolver was hitting at 30 yards this time and guessed correct. All 6 hits but was down 5+ points on that target.
GP100 in 10mm running .40S&W ran like a top. Had one moon clip that was tight going in but rotated a round in the clip and it dropped in fine. I am shooting factory Federal 180gr. American Eagle.
LPC is a wonderful place to shoot - the MD and his helpers work hard to design challenging but fun stages for all skill levels. Look them up on Practiscore - through the summer they run outdoor matches 4th Sunday of the month usually.
