This is only the PAN AND TILT. Can you do a PAN AND DRAG video of how to fix it?
Really? You never dis assembled the panning portion of the head. I’ll just have to assume it looks like the friction plates on the tilt
FWIW /white/ lithium grease is a waterproofing goo but a poor lubricant. It is mostly lithium based soap which will break down over time. better to use a fairly thick "waterproof" hub packing grease on metals and a silicone on plastics.
what would you recommend instead?
@@GregFulks what I said.
ohhh haha... just realize waterproof grease was the name
When the tint lock is going free well what we I do
Please I will be glad if U reply
Q: Is this procedure compatible with the 501 HDV?
Hi where will I get the white lithium grease? Please reply
white lithium grease is horrible stuff, essentially lithium based soap with a little oil in it. It gets used for waterproofing car door hinges, and it quickly dries out. Therein the problem here. Use practically any other amber/honey "car" grease.
Hi! First, let me say thank you for your good intention with this vídeo. Now let me say that you are teaching people to ruin their manfroto heads in no time... this grease you are using is not the correct for any part of this tripod head. The one used in the friction disc's are very thick like a glue. I am not sure exactly which one bit I am using one I found on Aliexpress that seams very similar to the original I have removed from my tripod head.
That is NOT a fluid head. It is the usual friction head marketed to the unsuspecting as a fluid head, but it ain't no real fluid head.
not original manfrotto fluid
