Is it possible to connect the camera to a desktop computer so that I can live steam through it? If so what wiring or other gadgets would I need? I'd appreciate any advice anyone can give me. 🙇‍♀️

Mine shows a black screen, the settings still work and the data shows up on the screen but it’s just black. What do it do?

My camera needle won’t move just says it’s fully charged

Just tried loading some of these. It definitely takes practice, the film needs to go under the metal rails, and I had to use a matchstick and fiddling to get the film around the back side of the spool. It was curling too much and poking up in front of the spool. One of my magazines turned out to be bad, the inside of the take up spool is worn and doesn’t engage fully with the film wind, it just slips with a ratcheting noise. My Contarex only came with the magazines, I don’t have the regular back, spool, and plastic spacer, so I’m stuck with them until I track down the parts.

How do I charge it ?? Or change batteries? Battery??

Recently bought one of these from a friend and used your video for setting it up but when looking through the view finder for the needle (that you mention at 0:50) the needle sits at the bottom and doesn't move at all. I bought a new battery in hopes that was the issue but that didn't solve the problem. I will probably just test a roll but before potentially wasting more money on a roll and developing, Any ideas what the problem could be?

I was collecting old cameras at yard sales, never really thinking any more about it. After the past ten years learning digital photography, this 66 year old hobbyist has had enough in the digital world. I am dusting off these old cameras. One is the Canon EOS Rebel XS in really good condition. Everything seems to be working, now I just have to get out there and test it. I am excited to get back to film and try to remember everything I learned in my high school "Photography 101 Class" back in 1975!

Is there any way of hacking the camera into a bulb mode? I'm using the "nine exposure" and setting each one for 30 seconds manually, but it is a bit boring.

You need to dismantle all the aperture blades for cleaning and also clean the base of the aperture blades. Otherwise, even a slight bit of residual grease will cause the aperture to stick again.
