    I’m so glad I’ve found your channel! I’m 24 and I love shopping. I’ve been trying to refine my style without looking like a Zara advertisement. Your advices are golden! Thank you 🙏🏽

    Thank you for giving actual advice on real investments rather than fluff (yes I've seen those graphs/articles too but a handbag is not an actual investment)-- especially building healthy habits like good dental hygiene and exercise-- I was 41 when I got my very first filling (tiny but devastating). Health is wealth. It's waaay cheaper to maintain a healthy lifestyle than to fix a poor one. Another thing I spent a lot in my 20s was sunscreen. Combined with exercise and diet, you maintain your youth inside and outside. Also appreciate your emphasis on financial services and saving, it's great to start a financial nest egg that you will give you more freedom as you get older.

      Lol but handbags are real investments - sign of the times but you are right health is wealth!
      I’m with you on maintaining a healthy lifestyle than fixing a poor one. Unfortunately sometimes people don’t realise it until it’s too late.
      Loads of sunscreen is coming up in my next instalment luxury in your 30s.
      Financial freedom as you get older is crucial. Sounds like you have made some good decisions along the way and you are reaping the benefits.

    You are so spot on with your recommendations. I did get cavities until I bought my first electric toothbrush. Haven’t had one since. In my 20s when I got my first apartment after school I bought a suite of simple black and white villeroy and boch plates/bowls etc. They still look great and I still use them. Can’t wait to see what you come up for 30’s and 40’s.

    I once heard from an older woman if she could change one thing when she was younger she would have started doing yoga. Makes you so much more mobile as you age and just good for you overall. I’m 19 and I’ve just started taking classes and already love it.

    I have always been so into quality, I'm 43 now and I have a bodysuit I bought at a boutique in Cape Town while I was at 'Varsity, and I still wear it. It gives me the greatest joy just thinking it's over 20 years old!

      I know the feeling! I have quite a few items like that. I’m currently wanting to change my style of dress and I have a good amount of quality stuff I’ve outgrown but don’t want to give away as it seems such a waste! When quality works against you 🤦🏾‍♀️

    I can vouch for the electric tooth brush. Was very negligent with my teeth in my twenties and now in my thirties I had to pay for so much dental work related to not brushing well. My teeth are healthier but the amount of time and funds could have been used for other expenses. As always your recommendation are spot on.

    But in all honesty, you have to be earning a lot to travel, invest, save and also eat and pay your bills 😂 Prices increased so much, that is honestly cannot afford saving right now. I’m in the middle of paying for school and my drivers license. I will be also buying my first car soon. If I start saving I won’t be able to eat anymore 😅 just saying. Otherwise great video with lots of useful tips!

    I have an opportunity to travel for a week to Stockholm, Sweden through my healthcare administration masters program in august. I’m from the US and never travelled internationally. The trip will require me to set some savings aside and the opportunity to learn about the Swedish healthcare system and meet some prominent people in the field. Do you think I should go? I really want to but my parents are wary. They want me to save my money but this isn’t an everyday opportunity. What’s your thoughts? I really want to travel and I love learning about how health care systems work.

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  Před rokem +4

      Without a doubt you need to go! It will be one of the best decisions you will ever make! What else are you saving your money for? It’s for opportunities like this I think! What if you die without enjoying the benefits of your savings? Not only are you meeting prominent people in an area you love learning about but you are also experiencing a new culture, food, country. There are no negatives please go and have a super time. And don’t forget to come back and tell us all about it 😊

    I will try an electric tooth brush. I have always wondered if they are worth it. Do you recommend a specific brand or type of electric toothbrush?

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  Před 2 lety +1

      Please do. Yes 100% but you still need to make the effort when brushing your teeth - brush all around and paying attention to ‘blind spots’ Brand at the moment I’m using a Philips Sonic care and I really like it and would highly recommend.

    Be careful with an electric toothbrush as they can actually damage your gums and cause receding.

    • @SoAnesu

    • @nataliebutler

      @@SoAnesu Really? It's true. Unfortunately, I experienced this myself. It easy to over brush with an electric toothbrush, especially if the head becomes splayed. This was confirmed to me by a dentist.
      Sadly it's very difficult to regrow gums once damaged and I made the mistake of thinking my teeth needed more cleaning to help them, but that was making it worse. I would say I have delicate skin generally, but I've never has a problem with my gums before and since I stopped using an electric toothbrush the damage has also stopped. Gentle manual brushing with correct technique is perfectly adequate, but it's just a bit of friendly advice.

      I experienced the same. I had new sensitivity due to receding gums. I then continued to have receding gums at young age and was baffled. I suspected the electric toothbrush. Ive been years without it and my gums have not receded further.
