    Love your analysis on these luxury brands. Everything you pointed out is the reason why I purchased a Valextra piece. Valextra: discreet, subtle, minimalistic, but high quality at the same time.

    I have a sheer sleeveless top I bought from Wolford’s in Paris 17 years ago that still looks as good as new. It’s an elevated basic that I turn to to dress up jeans for an evening out or as a layering piece that feels soft and luxurious.

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  Před 3 lety

      Exactly - an elevated basic that dresses up any outfit really and more so if you have a beautiful cashmere cardigan / piece under that - you can’t go wrong!

    Very nice presentation;)
    But to be honest with the exception of cashmere, Brunello Cucinelli fabrics are nowhere near as high quality as Loro Piana. In addition to sweaters, I have silk tops and a few dresses from both brands. Of eight silk tops by Brunello Cucinelli, 5 pieces only lasted about 2 years (until the silk got holes and the Monilli pearls came off, even though they were hardly worn and only cleaned in the dry cleaning process)
    I wouldn't buy anything from the brand anymore, mainly because the customer service wasn't particularly friendly and said that would be normal after two seasons.
    I would always recommend Loro Piana to all those who are looking for excellent quality, some sweaters I've had for over 15 years and they look like new.

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  Před 2 lety +1

      Brunello and Loro are truly the top when it comes to cashmere. I would have thought the Brunello silk tops would have held up a lot better but I guess now I know just stick to their cashmere it’s what they are best at.
      Shoddy service for that level of luxury.
      Whilst shopping have you ever considered or come across Franck Namani? czcams.com/video/tMyvalNP8rM/video.html

    Unlike ALL those who have unboxing videos after unboxing videos, you EDUCATE us, not amuse us or make people feel they have to keep up with the Joneses. With due respect, it's pronounced "air mayz". I wear their Cinhetic, it's unrecognizable and minimalistic. Their scarves are breathtaking. I'm saving up for a Moynat - the first/only WOMAN trunk maker. They use the same leathers as Hermès.

    I’m current lusting after a Delvaux architect series bag. A magnificent color blocked blue and ivory Tempette. Everyone seems to have the more popular Chanel classic flap and LV bags, but my eye seeks out the more understated beauties. Where would you rank Salvatore Ferragamo bags? I recently purchased an ivory Boxyz bag with champagne hardware that is very well constructed.

    Just a comment. Patek Philippe is to show status to the masses, but a Jaeger LeCoultre while cheaper on the entry level, is the watchmakers of all watchmakers, and they manufactured calibers even for Patek Philippe. There is almost no way the imitation market can sell a working Jaeger LeCoultre reverso with a duo face, a Jaeger LeCoultre gyrotourbillon or their limited edition Hybris mechanica. But oh hey a lot of imitation Patek Philippe. Other exclusive watchmakers which are hard to imitate are Jacob and Co watches with the triple axis tourbillon.

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  Před 2 lety +1

      If Patek Philippe is to show status to the masses then what is Rolex?! Maybe let’s start there…

    • @Omagatsuhi
      @Omagatsuhi Před 2 lety +1

      @@SoAnesu Rolex screams upper middle class or (fake market). Patek Philippe screams multimillionaire and even the fakes are rarely below a hundred or so, but oh hey a Rolex , bargain with the Thai flea market , get it for 20.

    • @SoAnesu

      Maybe where you are but Rolex transcends all classes.

      @@SoAnesu Or maybe among us watch enthusiasts. To me, a Rolex on a person doesn’t scream rich rich. But if the person walk into a high end restaurant with a 20 buck Casio , wearing shabby clothing and slippers against the dress code, and the waiters are still sucking up to the person, well , that dude is rich, versus the over dressed lot in the queue.
