    Moynat Gabrielle and Réjane have the same quality with Hermès Birkin or Kelly, but less than half or the price. However, I have both B and K and I love every single minute when I carry a bag, it command more respects whenever I enter a luxury store I get a special treatments compare to when I just carry a Chanel bag which everyone seems to have them.

    I love how much history and detail you pack for each brand! This is amazing work. I would love it if you covered men’s items and how these brands started to capture the menswear market as well in spite of having a core demographic based on the sale of women’s handbags.

    Hi Anesu ;) GREAT AS ALWAYS
    My opinion about Chanel is the following and I would be interested, what you think about it:
    I think Chanel only belongs to the -super premium range- only because of the price. The bags are now just overpriced and the quality of the bags isn’t better than others.
    I think that Chanel has to compete with many others and the prices are kept increasing, because it says Chanel and Chanel knows, that they have designed the most classic bag in the world and they rest on this success, although at some point they will be less successful, when prices rise and quality deteriorates ;(

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  Před 3 lety +10

      Thank you!
      I agree with everything you said.
      Chanel have built a brand consumers love and want to buy and hence prices keep going up but quality and craftsmanship are going down because they know consumers will keep wanting to buy Chanel regardless of the price. What to do? You find better brands for quality and craftsmanship and put your money there instead even if they are not well known because you are getting your money’s worth.

    I love your channel and thank you for sharing all your knowledge on handbags! It is so interesting to hear the history and background of these designers and designer houses. Quick question- do you feel the Bottega pouch is a timeless bag or trendy? I want to buy bags that will never go out of style. Thank you!!

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you for watching!
      I definitely think the pouch will age at some point. I would give it 5 years max before it’s replaced by the next ‘it’ bag. But because of its popularity and massive success for Kering as a group - remember it’s their best selling bag of all their brands - and the fashion industry as a whole, it’s a style I could see coming back later like 15-20 years after it’s first moment. Fashion is cyclical and it will be an enduring bag in peaks and troughs not consistently all the time.
      Buying bags that don’t go out of fashion - It depends on whether you are after known brands or quality material and great craftsmanship but not as known. Known brands I’m not massively into, the ones under the radar yes and I’ll be featuring them individually and going into detail about their core / iconic bags. Do subscribe if that’s your thing.

      @@SoAnesu thank you!! I never really thought the pouch was for me, but it’s been around for awhile and I feel myself getting “sucked” into the popularity of it and the hype, although it’s been here for awhile. So I was a bit conflicted. I have a very modest bag collection and am very careful when I purchase. A couple of Celines and LV but not the popular ones. A few Dior’s (lady, open bar bag and diorissimo tote). So I try to stick with classics. I truly want the Celine box bag. My only LV is the Sophia Coppola bag in burgundy and I never hear anything about that bag anymore, but I love it. My Birkin that I have had for 15 years now and will never part with. Thank you for your advice!! And I subscribed and can’t wait for more content from you!

      I forgot to add earlier if you really want something from Bottega go with their small signature intreciato weave think the cabat or Sloane bag shape ( there are a couple of similar but original style bags). Those will never age and the perfect representation of the original Bottega Veneta.

      Summer crossbody from the brands I’ve mentioned the Loulou from Moynat comes in one size not if that’s going to be too small?
      Delvaux Brilliant on the pricier side.

      Bottega Veneta crossbody in the classic intreciato?

      For a start there are loads of brands to choose from and what’s important for me is the slightly more low key under the radar, quality brands therefore the brands everyone talks about don’t always apply to my channel. Faure le page have limited distribution and availability in London like every where for example I’ll talk about them in the tote video in a few weeks after I’ve been to Paris and seen more of the brand.
