I just last week bought a "renewed" a7iii from Amazon for $1750 along with the tamron 28-75 "renewed" for $725. And TODAY, couldn't resist - bought a new tamron 17-28. Love the a7iii and, like you Ken, I have been wanting the a7iii for a long time. For me the a7iii fits in nicely with my a6600 and zv-1!
Make sure to update the firmware on the 17-28 it helps tremendously

Got the A7III 2 months ago and I'm completely in love. I do a lot of studio table top work and use the live view and my iPad with a wireless trigger. I can stay in the set moving things and shooting. The sensor is amazingly noiseless. Don't knock the kit lens it's great.
I remember recommending this camera for real estate awhile ago. Full frame, better for lighting, excellent battery, wider shots, higher dynamic range. I still use this camera years later. Your channel is crushing it - nice work!
I also picked up the A7iii last year and have loved it. Please feature some more of your style videos on the A7iii and great lens combinations. Another great video man!

Love the video thank you for the information. Looking at getting my first camera since I can no longer just borrow others haha. Would love to get a breakdown on lenses as money is tight so making the right purchase for what I need is key. Would love to know what lenses you use on real estate shoots.

I've got the same dude, best of both worlds (great photos & video) to buy and to me it will be around for a good few more years! The new a7siii may be good for video but lacks the photo side!

Had mine 2 years and still love it.
Was a great camera but I needed 10 bit and just switched to the Fuji XT-4 and I haven’t regretted it. But the Sony is still a great camera.

I was torn between this and the @6600. I could have picked up the a7lll used for $1700 on eBay or the a6600 from B&H $1k. I went with the a6600 mostly due to my budget and so that I could afford a couple lenses. It has the bigger battery and the level, so that’s a plus... And this is my first “real” camera anyway, but I’m sure that I’ll be wanting full frame at some point...

I've been almost there for buying an A7III in 2020. But, I listened about the A7IV coming soon (relatively, this wait is killing me) so I finally didn't get it. As you say, "old" cameras are good too, but as I have my Nikon D7100 I still don't really need a new camera yet. So for me waiting is the better option I think.
What camera are you using for your CZcams?
Bought this last year at full price. I've enjoyed my time with it but I do wish I'd waited for the price drop. Could have bought another lens with the saved money lol

I love my A7iii! I plopped down the $2K when they first announced it. It is my A camera next to my A6000. When you first started with your RE photography were you still employed somewhere else full-time? I ask because it seems that the agents will not touch you unless this is your full-time job.

Best video/photo camera definitely! It’s my go to for video and for photography I love the Sony a7riii! Oh what? The Sony a7sIII is being released oh goodness don’t tell my wife!!! Lol

That's what I use, A7iii w/ Tamron 17-28. I do notice some darkening at the top w/ 1/200s flash sync
It's probably my triggers. Yongnuo RF603ii. Slight darkening at top of frame 1/200, barely noticeable. Doesn't really matter much, I top out around 1/160 99% of the time.
Ordered the R5. I've been a canon gal since forever. Nice review though!

Another great video, Ken. Are you able to run this combo on the Ronin SC? Might just be me, but the 28-75 is too big, but the Sony 35mm works great. Curious wit this in middle size-wise if it will balance. Thanks!

I wanted that camera but I'm stuck with the 7riii, I'll be buying the new 7siii if they can deliver the downscaled 4k to 1080, I was seriously thinking about jump back in the Canon Bandwagon but the overheating issues make think twice about it, I'll wait until Sony release the new camera, full frame is the Best way to go in Real Estate but lenses are really expensive and that's sad! 😢
i went with an a6400 to start just because it fit my budget but plan on going a7siii or a7riv once i stack some cash

@@OriginaldoBo Yeah, Been loving the photos you have been posting they have been helping me learn angles and lighting.
Only thing I worry about is that a lot of Flats and Properties are smaller in the UK so showing everything off would require the wider lens. I will go with the 17-28 as its a cheaper starting point.

banger, how far have you gotten? I just passed myself and I am getting my web presence in order before I start reaching out(to strangers anyway). I am going to do a RE shoot for a (realtor) friend to pop my cherry. but another mentor said to get a good reel together so I am working on that as well

Banger073 ive been doing websites since the internet came out in 94 so i know a lot about photoshop and optimizing for web but this is slightly different because it has to be really high quality photography. fortunately i work for a rent by owner type site for 16 years but i feel like a nobody because idk anything about real photography! @@OriginaldoBo Hey would you mind elaborating on this a bit? I'm finally upgrading from my Canon 70D and I am pretty much set on the Sony a7iii. The only other camera that seems like a close competitor in this prize is the Nikon Z6.
I've done countless hours of research on the Sony a7iii and one of the most talked about things is the eyeAF which according to literally every review still can't be beat. This is the first time I've heard of someone not praising it. I don't know too much about all this stuff so I was hoping you could explain in detail what you mean. Thank you and awesome video!

Ya.....I'm a Canon guy. Have been forever. Sony TV's sucked in the past so did their stereos in the 70's. So when I got into 35mm film because of my brother I bought a Minolta XG-1. Bought it for my wife as a Christmas gift...she bought me a washing machine. Perfect easy to use aperture priority. Got hundreds of strip of you name it.....flowers (macro), bears in trees, deer, elk, all that nature shit. So.......Canon came on board, with cameras, printers, and everything else. They seem to have what I need and I'm good with that. I actually have a Epson scanner tho that does old 35mm negs that I have used alot for repos of very old family pics. But when I print photos.........Canon wins. They're just flawless prints and the ink is cheap.

I have a Canon T3i thats probably got 50 shots on it. I just don't have the drive I used to to take advantage of it's potential.
