@@Alishba_ヅ Stress is what's triggering it the most for you and manny others, because stress affects the immune system. It's an overreaction from the immune system towards the waste of broken down sebum by the Malassezia living on our skin. You have to figure out why your immune system overreacts.
Nr. 1 is food intolerances, 2. is other food and drinks causing digestive inflammation, 3. is stress: consistent sleep(!), exercising, walks, sunlight, meditation etc.. If you figure out these three factors you will se major improvements.

Cut stress and sugar. Antifungal creams for the face with cerave daily moist 30 SpF. Head&Shoulders clinical selenium sulfide 1% shampoo, ketoconazole/zinc didn't work for me in the long run. The game changer was black seed oil, take it daily - totally destroyed that nasty fungi.

“Zinc pyrithione can in the laboratory setting trigger a variety of responses, such as DNA damage in skin cells.” -Wikipedia. Also, research has shown that monkeys topically treated with ZP have been shown to pass it in their urine. So clearly it is cytotoxic (kills cells) and can cause DNA damage (cancer) and be absorbed by the body. I would avoid it. Wouldn’t be surprised if it contributed to baldness.

I used to have seborrhea on my face (nose to cheeks area and lower forehead) since my mid teen years. I suspect that it was triggered by a very stressful family event when I was 14.
I was given a few creams and corticosteroids but it only became worse. My condition started getting much, MUCH worse around the age of 24 and I remembered there were even days when I literally couldn't leave the house. It was extremely depressing and I completely lost hope about life. The most interesting thing was that there were moments when I felt like the burning and sort of a "darkness" is coming up my body and in few hours it hit my face and the condition just became extremely bad. Seborrhea was always there but these "attacks" were very scary. I always compare it to as if you have all the energy and drive to do things, accomplish your daily task, etc. but it felt as if there was an invisible hand that is holding you on the ground and not releasing you.
Around that time, I went to India (Tamil Nadu) and stayed at yoga ashram for 2 full months. We ate twice a day, only oragnic local food, had a lof of movement, did cca 50 mins of meditation a day. My seborrhea completely vanished and my skin never looked better.
However, after returning back home to Europe, I noticed it is slowly coming back and even though it was not as severe as before, it was clear to me that either: 1) I did something in India that I normally don't do at home, or 2) I was not doing something that I normally do back home. I came to conclusion that it must be something about the food and since I heard about the digestion/skin connection, I decided to visit a gastroenterologist. They did the endoscopy, took a sample, and after two weeks sent me the result that confirmed that I have celiac disease.
I had to completely change my eating habits but most importanty - after a few days without gluten, my condition became much better and since then I have NEVER experienced seborrhea in any form again. I used no cosmetics, I did not even wash my face, nothing of that sort. It was just about omitting gluten in all of its forms.
This is my personal story and experience and other people might get in because of different reasons but I can only recommend to get your gut checked.
Good luck and a lot of strength to everyone who is still dealing with seborrhea.

My dermatologist has me rotate Head and Shoulders, Selson Blue, and Nizoral and that seems to work fine. This is for scalp. Also have issue around nostrils so I apply on that area too. Basically I treat for 5-10 min every 3-5 days. Using different shampoo each time. Nizoral does seem to be the best of the three so thats cool to see in this vid. And yes this dermatitis does flare in the winter. I think getting a few min of sun on the scalp helps too. For me the issue has settled down over last few years (am now doing a Mediterranean diet just for health but who knows). I still rotate the 3 shampoos but do shorter treatment times. Great vid and explanation. Thanks.

I also have seborrheic dermatitis, and these are information shared by my doctor. This is not a disease, but a skin condition. It cannot be cured, but maintained under control. It gets triggered by genome, more often to men than women. It's more progressive as reaction to stress. For treatment, same medication will help some people, while not others. So you will need to change it, until you find what suits you. Fungus that Alexander is mentioning is responsible for skin condition, but root cause is genome and stress that helps fungus to "do it's work". Other external factors can help progression of seborrheic dermatitis (sun, dry weather, swimming pool, etc.) Treatment requires a lot of patience and persistence. It will not be "cured" with one day treatment, you have to keep on using one type of products until you see the change. If no progress after several weeks, you need to try some other products. And once you resolve the issue, you must continue with skin care products to keep it under control. There is a lot of cosmetic products specially developed for treatment, and lot of them have "DS" mark in their name. Try to find products that have more natural ingredients, less or not at all sulfates, that don't make your skin more dry, and do your best to keep stress level as low as possible. Be more active, in the nature, outside, with people you love and care for.

I've struggled with this for years without the benefit of having healthcare. It took me years to just figure out what it was. Then there wasn't much information to be found out there.
My condition is pretty severe with patchting my head (bald) and my face (beard) which I grew out to hide the flare-ups, but clearly made flaking more pronounced.
Way back when, I used different types of Anti-dandruff on my face and head. Which held the flakes at bay for a day or so, but would greatly agitate my my exposed skin so bad that the patches would practically glow bright red. Sympathy for Rudolph Vibes. There are a multitude of worse things to have, but this can be highly embarrassing and shameful at its worst.
So I would like to share what little information I picked up along the way that's worked for me up until now, for others of us out who share in this.
I found that by using a Probiotic Soap that was mild enough for everyday use (sometimes twice a day in the beginning and during certain flareups) kept my severe condition highly manageable. I buy mine through Amazon because its not easy to find in stores.
I'm not proposing that this works better than what is video offers as I intend on looing into these products as well.
I just wanted to put some additional knowldge out there to help our community. I hope this helps anyone who finds this.
P.S. Soap use; Lather and work into your skin like makeup removal. Leave for a few, letting it do its thing, then rinse.

Here’s what I use now: For my face I use Cerave Hydrating cleanser followed by Paula’s choice 2% bha exfoliant or the ordinary azeliac acid suspension 10%, and a cerave spf moisturizer lotion. (All of these you just use a little to stretch your bottles but use plenty of spf as these acids can make you susceptible to sun). For my head I use a tea tree oil shampoo and a silicone brush to massage the scalp and beard.

I had almost identical face rash. Ketoconazole worked for a while, maybe a year or so, but then it stopped working for me. Since then I have changed my diet to carnivore which mitigated it drastically and now I only use coconut oil on my face. At first I had to use coconut oil 3 times a day, now it’s just once every other day.

I have since discovered a much cheaper shampoo with the same active ingredient (it's called Sebizole) which also works really well. The products that he mentioned aren't sold in my country and it's freaking expensive to import from overseas, so here's an alternative that I use to manage my seborrheic dermatitis: *sulfur!*
    I use facial wash that contains sulfur and use it on my affected areas (nostrils, around and inside my ears, some parts of my scalp) and leave it for a few minutes before rinsing. It's not all gone yet since I've only been using it for 2 weeks but I'm already seeing a lot of improvement. Supposedly it works to get rid of acne too. The only downside is the smell (it's really strong) and it stings like crazy if you accidentally get it in your eyes, but it's way cheaper than the products he mentioned so I can't really complain ^^;
