Is Lamar Jackson A Playoff Choker?

  • Lamar Jackson has been a two-time league MVP, multiple-time all-pro, and has been the second-best quarterback in the NFL since 2019, dominating everything in the process, except for when he gets to the playoffs. Despite the Raven's defense doing an all-time great job with Lamar Jackson on the team, his playoff record sits at 2-4 so in this video we go over Lamar's brief history in the playoffs and answer the question, is he a playoff choker? Anyway, if you enjoyed this video at all then like and comment if you want, and you can even subscribe if you think I've earned it.
Steam emerged from his bathroom. Putting his towel around his waist, thatsgoodsports was shocked, standing face to face with Derrick Henry and all of his total mass. He panicked, but luckily Benchwarmerbran came to the rescue aided by his extensive football analysis of Lamar Jackson highlights. Tom Grossi watched in horror as Mikerphone found both of them.

Kind of reminds me of 49ers' Steve Young in the early 90s. Great QB when he became starter. But kept on losing in the playoffs to a young, powerful, very hungry Cowboys team. The "Team of the 90s." Young was considered good but not great until overcoming the hurdle of the Cowboys.
In today's NFL, if you're in the AFC, all roads to the Super Bowl go through the Chiefs. This past Chiefs team wasn't even the best, especially compared to the prior championship team they had. I still recall how bad the memes were about their receivers earlier in the season. But it was still enough to beat the Ravens in the AFC Championship and my 49ers in the Super Bowl. You look at Mahomes' playoff stats and one thing you can say about him is that mistakes are very rare. He doesn't often gift you with turnovers and bad performances.
Lamar Jackson has to overcome this.

Because this may be the most Titanic Era in NFL History with how many great teams and QBs there are, and most of them if not all of them won't win a ring because of the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. Not to mention like those Bulls teams in the NBA, their influence on the NFL around the world has skyrocketed. If it weren't for a miracle run of miracle runs by Cincinnati, and if Dee Ford didn't jump offsides, they would be the 6 Time Defending AFC Champions and possibly could have 4 to 5 rings right now. As a fan I thinks it's kinda a mix of all with Lamar and Self destruction we just beat ourselves way to often in these games and you can definitely see with these games. 2018:Lamar's first year as a full time starter and got smacked by a decent Chargers team at the time. 2019: Titans defense contained our biggest strength and Derrick Henry going nuclear. 2021: To many errors by Lamar and the Offense. 2023: Didnt utlize the run game when we needed to the most,Lamar trying to playing Hero Ball and Zay Flowers mishaps. So my point here is that the Ravens and Lamar just beat ourselves the defense has carried a lot of these games and most of these were winnable it's just we beat ourselves to much to the point of no return I think they will get over the hump eventually but you got to stop malfunctioning at the worst possible time

The 2023 AFC Championship was really annoying to me and it most definitely feeds into the Lamar's fraud playoff allegations. That Ravens team was all around significantly better than the Chiefs but for some reason the offense just collapsed. The Ravens were the best rushing team in the league by a wide margin yet somehow they only rushed for a total of 16 times that game. The chiefs ran the ball for twice the amount which shouldn't be happening. And in the pass plays, there were times where Lamar had wide open grass in front of him to run and gain lots of yards but for some reason held onto to the ball to throw. All of the other playoff games I can give a sliver of an excuse for Lamar's performance whether it be bad o-line play, inexperience, or the opposing defense having a very good gameplan, but that AFC championship game has no defense for it. Lamar had all the advantages and didn't capitalize on it. And it wasn't even like Patrick Mahomes was playing godly, yes he was playing very good but his offense was only able to put up 17 points which is something Lamar should have overcame.

Because the back judge didn't call pass interference on KC#27 in the endzone by making sure he didn't jump? Because KC#27 tackled Likely in the open field during a crucial play and there was no flags? Because Moses & Stanley couldn't block? Yeah he had some problems, but to put it on him like he choked is ridiculous. Check the film on the endzone play. They tell you differently to what your eyes clearly saw. But some people are gullible and follow narratives. It's only a youtube video away on the slo-mo. Then some have the nerve to say the defense carried them when they actually worked in tandem. I remember defense stopping teams and Lamar extending plays for the score. Then yall act like they weren't learning the offense as the season went along. They were beating teams while learning everything on the fly. Not only was he the best player on the field while demolishing the best teams. All while he kept losing key offensive😊 pieces. yes and no, Coaching and playcalling has been a massive factor to the playoff losses. If they make the playoffs again this year and the team loses Harb needs to go as the coach. idc if the running back room was injured to hell and back the team still had one of the best rush offenses in the league and just like san fran they abandoned it when they needed it the most. also THEY need a Number 1 receiver, yes flowers will more than likely get there soon but that SB window is closing and closing fast

When was the last time Baltimore’s offense was healthy for the playoffs ? Injuries & turnovers plague the ravens. They get those two things under control, they increase their chances.

Lamar lost as a rookie then lost to Mahomes last year.. outside of that hes 2-2 in the playoffs.
So I ask this... is everyone who loses to Mahomes a playoff choker? What about every rookie that loses their first playoff game?
What about the rookies that dont even make the playoffs?
No hes not a playoff choker and it's dumb to even say at this point tbh. If he gets knocked out of round one either once or twice more then okay.... youd be right. But right now no.

@@tgs5725 “excusable” losses? lol. He’s 2-4 in the playoffs and the 2 wins aren’t even that impressive. One was over a rookie CJ Stroud on a mediocre Texans team and the other one was the Titans who has probably the only active QB that’s worse than Lamar in the playoffs, Ryan Tannehill. If he would have beat the Titans in 2019 and the Bills in 2020, but lost to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game both times, I would put him in the same category as Josh Allen which is: he can win playoff games, but can’t beat the Chiefs. Until he proves otherwise, he’s a playoff choker in my book.
