In the past few years , Israel has faced unprecedented criticism for killing children, bulldozing homes , ethnic cleansing, land theft, anti-Black and Arab racism, a discriminatory legal system, continued settlement building, violations of international law, lobbying to bomb Iran\Syria and general unpleasantness.
What follows are 23 handy arguments you can use to counter nonsense such as facts and evidence in defense of fair Israel’s honor:
1.But … but … everybody else does bad things, too!
2.Democracy. We have it. You don’t.
    3.The Holocaust!
4.When logic and facts have gone against you, proclaim, “You’re being really mean!” (Note: if you are a white woman, it is recommended that you cry at this point.)
5.Gaza has tunnels! And rockets! How is our army, with its $15 billion annual budget and nuclear weapons, supposed to cope?
6.Nuh uh. G-d said so. It’s all right there in the Bible.
    7.I’m the victim here!
    8.HitlerHajjHusseiniProtocolsGarbleGarbleHitlerHusseiniHitlerHitlerPalestineHitler
9.Terrorism! Oh so much terrorism! Teeerrrraaaah! T to the E to the R to the R to the O to the R to the I to the S to the M. Did I mention terrorism? (Note: spelling out the word also conveniently implicates the International Solidarity Movement in terrorism).
    10.Anti-Semitism!
11.EVERYTHING. YOU’RE. SAYING. JUST. ISN’T. FAIR. (Note: This is a good time to bring up anti-Semitism again).
12.Look, buddy, if the ADL says it, it must be true. It’s a civil rights organization.
    13.Hamas!
14.This conversation is making me uncomfortable. (Remember: it’s all about you and how you feel).
15.But we love the gay people!
16.The Prawer Plan is inevitable: tribal peoples have always stood in the way of progress.
17.My grandparents may be from Poland, but my ancestors are from Samaria.
18.Should Americans give the land back to the Indians? (Note: This argument will be especially persuasive with liberals, who, while professing loud support for Native Americans, find the notion of empowering Indians or ceding any of their privilege to be comical).
19.Hey, we only tried to steal 54 percent of your country back in the day and you, like, got all mad about it.
20.Einstein, Arendt and Buber were simplistic thinkers compared to Dershowitz, Horowitz and Friedman.
21.The Arabs used to eat matzo ball soup and kreplach before we introduced them to hummus, falafel and tabbouli.
22.There was never a Palestinian state. Ancient Israel, on the other hand, wasn’t just a biblical epoch, but a member of the UN in good standing.
23.We are a light upon all the nations. Now if you would kindly quit singling out Israel …

There is an error in the calculation at 21.05. Israel wasn't purchasing LNG transported from the Middle East to Japan at $12.6 per BTU, it was purchasing piped gas (which is cheaper) and a market price is likely to have been closer to the price referred to earlier in the film paid by Germany from Russia at around $7-8 per BTU.

There are costs to having an autocratic government, an ignorant populace and a xenophobic culture. One of them is that other countries will use your weaknesses against you. If Egypt wants to advance it needs to shed its patriarchal culture, crate a true secular state and educate itself in sciences, humanities and technologies.

    • @StopTheElite
      @StopTheElite Před 10 lety

xenophobic culture is found in europe (Marie La Penn , UKIP , EDL , BNP ,NATIONAL FRONT , Geert Wilders , Gates of Vienna , Breivik , Daily Mail , Mirror etc ), usa (Tea Party , Spencer and Geller co , thousands others) and most of the nations in Asia ( India , Burma , Sri Lanka , Pakistan , Japan and Korea etc ) . So dont isolate the egyptians in this case

The fringes in Europe don't run anything.
And I did not isolate the Egyptians. The story was about Egypt and I commented on Egypt.
Also stop with this false equivalency bar. Naming fringe groups in Europe is not equivalent to what happens in Egypt. In Egypt if you are a Baha'i you can't meet in a pubic square or pray in your holy places. Christians are leaving in droves and their churches are being destroyed. This is not a fringe in Egyptian society. This is a majority. What i mean by majority. 78% of Egyptians consider the Baha'i heretics of Islam and thus not a religious minority. Not a minority no minority rights. That means no rights at all. They can't even go to a public school. And remember 90% of Egypt is Muslim. That is true xenophobia. Show me the equivalence now.

Seller Williams Even if Wilders is Jewish , which he is not, what does that mean. He does not control policy in the Netherlands. He hates the tyranny endemic in the Arab world. Not one majority Muslim country has ever created a democratic system to this day. Down the list they all have autocratic regimes. The reason is the theocratic thinking the majority of the population aspires to. Why is that so? The entire Islamic society is a top down model where the elite rules and the people just muddle through

While the corruption is real. There are a couple issues. 1 that the losses calculation seems like total BS you can't compare what they could export across the world, only what a comparable price in the region would be. Also You can basically say that the deal to get the Sinai back meant providing Israel with cheap fuel. Honestly its really smart by Israel they get cheap gas and then grease the palms of the Egypts elite to keep them cooperating

One thing Obama was corrected to say: 2011 was historic moment for Egypt, and we do know that Morsi was pressure from every side including a possible war with Ethiopia, another puppet of USA about their Nile-Dam. Also, Morsi people aspirations were unlimited for a president hated by the West and Israel, including Saudi Arabia. The Evil has voted him out of office and the military got the honour to put him in Prison the only president in recent history ever voted democrat by Egypt, but one thing the Evil was ever right was Morsi did not understand that the bad guys of the world have too much power for a simple president who try to make deal with Iran, where Israel and USA plus Saudi Arabia hate them so much, and Morsi failed miserably. Morsi try too fast, too soon, too good, he should have being more technocrat than thinking he is independent country. The world try to humiliate Morsi but they could not so the military grap the power. Egypt has being bought for couple billion, that goes the only proud Sunni Arab nation. So, I have ONE Question for Egypt, what exactly does it feels to be the puppet and stooge of Israel?

It does not require great intelligence to realize that the stage is being set for the appearance of Dajjal in Middle East.

"Israeli investment" Rich! When Israel has been suckling $bils yearly from the US taxpayers when/where did the penniless horde of warmongers get money to invest in Egypt.
Palestinian lost resources Israel will have to pay back under the Geneva Con Articles of war and Egyot mus insist that Israel pay back the $11bil to the Egyptian people even if Al Sisi purchases Oil from Israel

Clearly there is no way to justify this sort of greed........... BUT........ what would be the cost of another middle eastern war that was averted due to this deal? Greed is bad but if you are counting the costs then you must include peace as a very tangible benefit. This seems to be how our world operates in the 21st century.

Why does the ponytail keep saying "The Israeli State" instead of "Israel"? Is he really just an Israel-hater who would like to say "The Zionist State"?

It's not an insult. But anti-Israel muslims say "The Zionist State" because they can't stand saying the word "Israel".

Goodness gracious, open up a dictionary & look up the definition of " STATE ", there's nothing comprehensively erroneous with saying the " state " of Israel, just as there's nothing wrong in saying the states of Eastern-Europe. Stop making shit-up from thin air bud!

I'm pretty sure the phrase "Israeli State" includes the word "Israel", so how could he be denying the existence or legitimacy of Israel?

While the first part is more or less accurate (except for some numbers which vary slightly AJ can't hide its love for the Muslim Brothers in the second part. What really is telling is that knowing smirk on the face of Ambassador Walker. Makes one feel like punching his face ... All in all: a nice narrative tailor made to fit the myth around the "democratically" elected - ROFL!! - Mursi and the alleged games Al Sissi plays/played. Nobody really knows yet which direction Al Sissi will go. Many question marks though.
As for the energy shortage - already under Mubarak there was a report (if memory serves me right in 2006/7) with the prognosis that we'll have an energy crisis in 2012/13 with massive shortages because of mismanagement/corruption, "discovering" oil field after oil field in phantasy land as well as poor or rather no planning. It was all on papers with solid figures for years for everybody to see. Why the big hoopla now?!
If Egypt were left alone she could manage to get back on her feet with time. But given the fact that so many parties have to mingled in her business for ulterior motives as well as personal gains and power hunger ... the outlook is not that rosy! But that's exactly how it is wanted otherwise Egypt would become once again a power to reckon with.
Read also the Yinon Report of 1982 as well as the follow-ups. It's all there for everybody to read and know ... if one is willing to used the little grey cells inside the scull!
    Go Egypt go!!! Viva Egypt!!
