Hi SAMANTHA! That song was dedicated to Her Mother, i think that was Her MOTHER's DAY CONCERT in LAGUNA Wow! i'm a man but i was caught off guard! my tears fell!
Her Mother is at the back stage they said, after that song She rushed into her Mom and Hugged Her and continue crying! i don't know if this happened after they settled their dispute between Mori and her father
We all know that had a long misunderstanding because her father doesn't want Morissette to enter into a relationship with Dave
and She forced Mori to break it up
with Dave but, Her daughter did not follow her instead She decided to live on her own life realizing that She was already at the right age and moved out of their house and continue her relationships with Dave
which now they're already engaged!
For me her father is a bad ass! a selfish father! Morissette is such a nice person and a good daughter as being a sole breadwinner of the family She left a huge amount of money in their bank account before She left their home kinda' millions of peso that's what Morissette is! a loving daughter to her parents! if you
have reacted to Morissette's LOVE YOU STILL that was created for her
parents whom She really missed for a year for her father prevented her to come and see them or have a communications with her mothers that's why Morissette always cry at night on her bed longing for her family! And i pity her for what She went through because She chose to followed what her heart dictates!
This was way before the fallout and let us not judge anyone before not knowing the full story, all we know is Mori loves her family no matter what falling out that they have today. She has included a shot of her family with her on her video "Phoenix", so Mori still shows her love for her family amidst all of the drama and so not our place to judge her family if Mori still shows her love and support for them.
That is such a sad story. If that is true about the father then I am glad Mori followed her heart and love for Dave Lamar.
It makes sense why I read that Morissette lost her voice. With a father that consistently pushes her to perform show after show without a break just to see the dollars keep rolling in… all I can say to her dad is - you are selfish heartless and horrible person and not deserving a beautiful daughter like Morissette. I hope one day she will get back together with her mom. God bless and the lord always looks after his children!
