I'm old but don't remember hearing this song, though I did know Jim Croce's other song Big Bad Leroy Brown. We don't always hear songs from the US over here in Britain. But Geoff makes everything special. He's such a genius.

Sydney said she has worked on cruise ships, but when covid hit she was out of work, and when it was over trying to start again after almost two years proved very difficult, this is why Sydney had to try BGT, and WOW, she has the perfect voice for Broadway Musicals and the Westend, she reminds me of the great Shirley Bassie in her prime, if I could remember her name the Hollywood actress from many Hollywood Musicals who left us many years ago, Sydney has almost the same voice as her, just fantastic, now it's going to drive me crazy trying to remember who she was. 😊

I used to see her perform in a little club called "The Golden Bear" in Huntington Beach Ca. Many times. I once bumped right in to her at an Eagles concert

Now re-listen to it and this time pay special attention when Tim Foust the bass singer does his lead part. Immediately following that he drops a full octave from there for the next chorus. Nobody catches that, I'm a bass singer and I get goosebumps every time I hear him drop that octave and hit his lowest notes in the song. I think most people miss it because they're still in awe of his lead part that he just sang. So give it another listen and when he hits the end of his lead part turn on your super bass ears and drink in hose deep deep vibes. I would love for someone to break down what notes he's hitting, I don't have a keyboard in here to check. I want Tim Foust AND Home Free collaborate on some super cool bass back and forths with Voiceplay's Geoff Castellucci, and deep bass harmonies. Jim Croce was talent lost way to soon. He wasn't overly showy or had anyunheard of voice, but was agreat story teller in a song. I suggest you definitely check a few out. It will not be a waste of time. He had some upbeat as this with Bad bad Leroy Brown, and deeply meaningful with "Time in a Bottle", "Operator" or "I had to Say I Love You in a Song"

Love Geoff's version of Jim Croce's song way back from 1972. I first learned of Croce when I was back in high school and he did this one the year I married my love of my life. I would LOVE to hear Geoff do Croce's Time In A Bottle which is my very favorite of Croce's work and I really can''t imagine anyone else doing it as well as Geoff.

Geoff did this Jim Croce song proud. I remember when this song came out ion the early 70's. Jim Croce was an amazing song writer. I'd like to hear Geoff do a cover of Bad, Bad LeRoy Brown.

When Beyoncé sings the song, you hear her when Angelina sings the song you feel the lyrics, you feel her, you feel all of it straight to your soul. Although Beyoncé has a beautiful voice it’s just a voice. It doesn’t tell a story. It doesn’t grab you it doesn’t make you feel the way that Angelina makes you feel.

Angelina has a way of singing songs in a way to show both strength and vulnerability at the same time. In this one, she is strong in her resolve but still showing hurt and regret. I'm always amazed at her emotional expression.

Every new song from that Angel is an emotional ride with a huge boisterous laughter at the end, every time. Eighteen years old.....WOW!
