  • Beginners Photography Course Part 7 Shutter Speed Records Time: With a lot of the World currently on lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you may have some time on your hands. With that in mind here is the seventh episode of a photography course taking a look at how shutter speed is used to record time. If you are new to photography, a kid stuck at home or you would just like a bit of a refresher course, this should be ideal.

    Thanks for all of your videos, a great refresher for someone picking up a DSLR (D7100) after some years and being used to film, how much difference does Nikon VR make to the handheld focal length rule ? mainly using a Nikon 18_200 mk11

      Hi Leslie, no problem at all, I am glad the videos are useful. The Nikon VR will help a lot depending on the amount of the stop rating, For example if a VR lens has a 4 stop rating you could feasibly use a 200mm lens at 1/30th shutter speed, handheld. Thank you for watching, stay safe, Dave
