This has to be one of my favourite performances, actually this whole SNL segment, as her Can't Let Go performance was spectacular too! Her placement & phrasing are mindblowing, examples; 2:17-2:21 2:40-2:46 You can even see from her mouth, where she placing those belts & the ease she has, which can be heard from how bell like her sound is in that area. Not forgetting how her pronunciation & phrasing are on point! Whilst telling that story & really emoting. Wish she let go during performances like this now a days.
You have to watch this (at least) 3x because you have to focus on the band and the background, too! The background at the climax was angelic! Wow....there aren’t many things in life that are perfect, but this shit here was precious!
