RWD with solid axle, 7 seats, 6 airbags, manual transmision option, high ground clearance, lots of cupholders!, and looks like a fortuner.
I made my choice
Excellent review!!! Let this guy review the other previous cars please.
Very helpful! We've had our Rush G for a year and a half now and for mild off road and concrete jungle city driving we feel the Rush is truly up to task! For an entry level SUV the high ground clearance, ample approach and departure angles, a 2 feet (600 mm) wading depth, 5 star safety features, the stable body on frame structure and its sporty looks is for us good value for money...its Dual VVTi engine yields acceptable fuel efficiency (16 km/L hi-way, 10-11 km/L light to moderate traffic city driving), the 4 speed AT transitions smoothly but as mentioned would be better if it had been a 6 speed gearbox... Thanks thanks great review!
When an engine is a bit lacking in torque, the last thing, you want to do, is to mate it to a traditional torque converter AT. There is a reason why, old american cars came with V6 or even V8 engines. It was to provide the torque needed to pull not only a heavy vehicle but also the AT.
So if you are going to get the Rush, ask yourself, if you really need that third seat row and the other features of the G. And if the answer is no, then get the entry level model with the MT. It will give you better fuel economy especially on the highway, it will give more relaxed cruising with lower engine RPM, and the engines performance wont be blunted by the transmission.
Sure if you mainly drive in the city, having an AT is nice. But if you mainly drive in the city, why not get something based on a car platform, which will give you a much better ride. This is for rough roads in rural areas, and if you are driving there, you can survive to change gears yourself.
❤
nice review...very informative and no unnecessary noise. you should do more reviews. About the Rush, a bit disappointed though with the fuel economy and engine specs.
Great review. Very informative and unbiased.
Great review. Request po ako ng Mitsubishi Strada GLS THANKS!
Great review 👌👍. thanks.
Ty much sir your honest and informative review
Great review
Good commentators... good one. Thanks
I hope next year toyota will come up with foldable sit at the back and cruise control similar to xpander
I wish toyota would offer a more powerful diesel version so as to differentiate it further from the avanza.
if this rush will be given the engine of the altis its the best small suv in its class..if not its a return in the past ..
Please review the xpander. Thanks!
Informative, unbiased, accurate review! For an entry level SUV the high ground clearance, ample approach and departure angles, a 2 feet (600 mm) wading depth, decent features like smart entry, push start/stop button, auto climate control and headlights, back up sensors and camera with guidelines, 8 speakers, hill start assist, traction control, abs, ebds, 6 airbags (5 star safety rating), the stable body on frame structure and its sporty looks is for us sufficient value for money...its Dual VVTi engine yields acceptable fuel efficiency (16 km/L hi-way, 10-11 km/L light to moderate traffic city driving), the 4 speed AT transitions smoothly but as mentioned would be better if it had been a 6 speed gearbox... For mild off road and concrete jungle city driving we feel the Rush is truly up to task! Thanks thanks great review! 👍👍👍😊
Great review.
1.5 engine my ass. They should have at least made 2.0 option.
My dad bought one. It's similar but a lot better than my avanza. It's an entry level SUV so the price is just right. If they put a bigger engine, the price would go up significantly I think. If you want a more capable SUV just buy a bigger car otherwise the Rush is enough.
Is the ride bumpy?
pls make some review on mitsu xpander sir.. thanks
Karamihan sa comments "maliit engine!" My God people! Kaya nga CROSSOVER!!
strawberry_shortcake4life
Aray ko! Paano mo nalaman isa ako doon. Hahaha!
Nice review!
please make a video like this on xpander
Can u guys review JAC s2 2018. It is available here in Philippines
Boss ikaw nalang palagi mag review please?!
Is it really a highly- anticipated??
Should'v made it atleast 6speed AT. if youre gettin this consider choosin the MT over that 4speed AT.
In Indonesia/Malaysia to be as 1.5 s trd sportivo/gr sport a/t
Body on frame + rdw pala tong rush. Diesel, 6mt at 4x4 nalang kulang
Toyota should put D4-D under that bonnet
rear drive + body on frame, high ground clearance .. real suv di katulad nung mukangg robot na mini van
A real SUV would blow the Rush out of the water. Shit, even a Foton Toplander is better than this, and only costs about 300k more.
Fuel economy you mentioned in this review is wrong, it gives 12-12.5km/L in city and 10-11km/L on a highway
the seats look very basic. nice review though.
Is 2018 toyota rush already euro 4 compliance?
with an average speed in Manila and Cebu City of 10 km/hr who needs a 7 speed gear
I hope your video titling should be reversed, car name - reviewer - youtube channel name, so that it's easier to choose when the channe;'s page is displayed, specially in mobile devices such as cellphones and pads.
Hyundai tucson 2018 review please.
Honestly, it's more like a baby Montero Sport...
I think xpander is 22kmh/per litter
Fuel efficient po ba ang Rush?
agree with u. under power. go for mazda cx 5 2.0 cc
or yung CX 9 2.0T
@@garnerlibato4887 cx 9 2.5 displacement sya sir
@@voltairewilliamdilag6721 I know 2.5 yung displacement niya tinamad lang akong mag dagdag ng .5
hi po. may review na ba kayo g honda BRV?
Hi sir @chris tian. Thank you for your feedback! Here's the link sir: czcams.com/video/GuS4zvrumzs/video.html Enjoy watching!
If only this car has a bigger engine rather that 1.5l. Make it like 2.0 or 2.5 and it will be perfect. But i stil like it though. Rush parin ako compare to xpander my only quirk with xpander is its headlights and rear view.
Go with Toyota Fortunner
G or TRD?
this new 1.5L/7-seater catergory has too much hype but all in all useless if loaded with 7, it will NEVER outperform outgoing models like Sportivo & Adventure which its suppose to replace
Omey Torralba have u tried it sir?
Saan lugar yan?
Boss na review mo n po ba yung innova j dsl 2.8 po?
Toyota Rush roast review.. Hehehe.
brv and ertiga the best
I believe with Toyota...
10km/L on a highway?? Goodluck sa gas
Honda BRV tires is 196/60 R16 narrow tires , Toyota Rush is 215/65 R16 wider tires, Expander is 205/55 R16 thin tires, of all 3 vehicle Rush has the wider and heavy tires that's why its slow compare to the 2 model.
I try my vios 2017 using 185/60 R15 passenger is only me at 120kph the engine is noisy and power is slow. I try my vios using 175/65 R15 easy can reach 120kph with less noise. I try vios using 175/65 R14 very fast can reach easy 140kph. This mean narrow and smaller tires can drive car/suv faster.
Is anybody tried replace tires of Rush thinner like 195/60 R16 , i am sure Rush will becomes faster, more power and less noise.
100hp | 130+ torque and weighs heavier than the others in its segment, that's why its very sluggish compared to the others, heck even the avanza out performs it in the power department which is a shame really since the exterior looks good..
7km/l on a city pero di naman nabanggit kng ilan ang sakay nun. What if fully loaded ang sakay aabot kaya yan ng ganun o maybe less as expected.
The headlights are small
Shame really, Rush seems to be the perfect size for city/province, but it's the engine that lets it down. Imagine having 7 passengers with luggages, up hill with no turbo and cruising on the highway in 4th gear. The cruising RPM of that engine must be around 3.5-4k constantly. That's going to hurt the noise level and fuel efficiency.
I miss my Toyota Innova Touring Sport...
I have driven both Xpander and Rush and I can honestly Xpander is way better than Rush. Performance, spaciousness, riding comfortability, features, exterior and interior all goes to Xpander.
Jose Rizal is the vertical clearance higher than the xpander? i really need it because of flood issues...
cause it floods everyday, tho the difference is 15mm only
exterior?
Rush gound clearance is 220 mm to Xpander 205 mm, not much difference in my opinion. 15 mm = 0.5 inch
ground ck=leRANCE and wading capability are dealbreakers to me
Lakas sa gas. Rear wheels drive catch?
tipid po rwd oo
This car is getiing worse but toyota is having money by producing less money but using their name.
Wish i was rich
if toyota put a small diesel ..even 100 k more it will sell like hotcakes..or an engine from the old corolla 16 v 1.6lt..much better
Timing chain ba eto or timing belt,,,
chain
10 km/L? highway? man, for a new vehicle, not gas efficient!
parang hindi review nangyari dito. partnership advertisement.
until gear 4 lang? So totoo ung sabi nila na its struggling to reach 100 kph? di pla pang express way to sayang
kalokohan yan. 5k nga na fx with 63hp nakakatakbo in excess of 100kph. yan pa kaya.
Transmissions are not engines. Kahit nga maliliit na sasakyan aabot sa 100kph given time.
Sleepy host, terrible work on the subtitles.
two lancer Fortuner cnsabi mo 400k haha.
mahina kokoti eh
What is the top speed ?
I think 160khp or more
meron bang Toyota Rush G MT at 7 seater pah?
ipon pa more better choose montero o fortuner dyan kayo magtalo
How about Everest
honda brv top of their class
toyota pricing is like ford vehicles
MPG, 0 to 60 ?
Faisal Alrashed
7-10km/l, 0-60 maybe 10-12secs. do u wanna race this car?
Why does Toyota fits a 4speed AT to a crossover suv like this and given it has a 1.5 liter engine? They should have place CVT instead 😵
For cost reasons. Wigo, Avanza, Rush are made by Daihatsu in Indonesia, and its cheaper to use existing production lines to continue making the old 4AT rather than investing in new ones. Xpander and Ertiga also come with 4AT, so its kind of normal for the new entry level MPV / SUV segment. Only Mobilio / BR-V gets a CVT.
The low suv can be found in asian version the engine code 2nr f800 same with perodua aruz
You can get a lot with other brands with that price
but you cant get the same ground clearance on other brands.
Is Toyota rush is a diesel vehicle
Owen Araiz it runs with gas fuel
But is there a diesel Toyota rush
Owen Araiz no
i think innova is a better choice.
u filipino better compare this piece of shit suv , with baojun 530 ,that have same price, next year will be sell in indonesia
and u can compare innova with wuling cortez.
Innova is indeed better but its more overpriced than the rush, also the 2.8L Diesel Engine makes it more like a expensive MPV in my opinion. So the rush is the perfect car for first-time buyers depending on their budget so yeah.
@@nevil6833 my friend just got his inova diesel couple months ago. when he see my cortez,he feels regret. inova features and interior very cheap.
inova price higher 7000usd than cortez
Ice Inducer ehem... both mpv's have back up camera on their top-of-the-line variants, especially the rush.
Edit: the 2018 ertiga is a rip-off to the Xpander which they copied its capabilities and performance, especially its back exterior
@Ice Inducer czcams.com/video/6aNIhYyNUBc/video.html
Actually, the 2019 suzuki ertiga was actually approved in 2017. And yes it copied Xpander's performance and capabilities but still i dont recall this a spacious and a comfortable MPV because of its poor A/C and tight seats specially for 5"6 - 5"10 footers.
can you speak tagalog?
Prefer TOYOTA HIGHLANDER😋
7.8km/liter for city driving and
10km/liter on the highway
Not impressive numbers for a 1.5l engine.
MB Legend because of the 4-gear automatic transmission
Clifford Correa still the numbers are way too low. If the engine displacement is a 2.0l, I would understand.
Comparing it to the Xpander which gives it:
8.5km/liter on the city and
13.6km/liter on the highway
So probably the Xpander is a better choice for travelling from Provincials to Manila.
Edit: its even more fuel efficient by having the same engine as the rush.
Rush: 1.5L Dual VVT-I Inline 4- cylinder engine
Xpander: 1.5L DOHC 4- Cylinder MIVEC Engine.
@@cli4d_correa for highway consumption, this will be a factor. But for city driving?
Shadow Hedgehog its almost like a car driven around cities, not for travelling but for off-road aswell if it depends on its horsepower
the engine was too small for a seven seater mini SUV....
This made in Indonesia
Low quality
1.5cc ? Small engine. Wag na lang. Gapang ito pag 7 pax na.
The seats are disappointing. 😕
Rush from Indonesian produk impor in philipina
Glorified avanza for 1m price tag. Not so practical.
has more tech and safety feature than the avanza.:)
@@SonnyChenova waay waay better than avanza safety
Bumili ka na lang innova
Low powered vehicle. 1.5 engine 7 seaters hmmm.. Foton Toplander is 2x better than this.
Your car sir, is not spacious, not applicable for long highway trips, trust us sir, were honest adviser..
1M something for a 4-speed automatic 1.5Li gas engine?? F**k it Toyota!
The front of Toyota Rush looks like a pirated Honda CRV 2012-2014. 👎
I think 1.5 engine is not fit for 8 people on board specially on uphill condition.
Innova 2019 is better choice for me.
not 8 my friend only 7 and healhty not obesse
Buti nalang indi ito naging ahente ko walang kwenta mag demo anyway i have innova and vios masarap pa kausap ang lasing namin kapitbahay
"body on frame" that's BS. rush is a monocoque just like xpander, br-v, ertiga, etc. if you'll bother to look underneath the car you'll see
rondg2 but it's not.
