i’m really excited to see them explore the upside down more, as we’ve only ever seen a couple glimpses at it in previous seasons and hardly at all in s3, and now they said a lot of this season will be spent there and i wonder why the kids are going in the first place

This is going to sound dumb compared to literally everything else going on this season but im pretty excited about eleven’s hair. Her hair is like a symbol/motif- it kinda represents her ‘assimilation’ into society or her ‘normalcy’. So the return of this look is very interesting to me. Not to mention it looked so badass when it was buzzed. I mean yeah, in universe it’s so she can wear the head monitor but still. Im so fucking excited for this season.

11:35 the women with red nails is actually max’s therapist I believe. I remember in a snippet max confessed to this therapist that she used to have nightmares (probably about billy) but now has new nightmares about vecna. So she drew the drawing which we see for the therapist.

the thing i can’t wait for is to learn more about elevens past and how/why all the kids aren’t there. i hope we find more about the kids and what abilities they have. another things im excited for is what is happening to max, i hope she’s ok! I also hope that eleven and hopper reunite in volume one because that scene would be to heart warming.

I think the reason behind eleven's new hair (which is the same in season 1) is she went back to the lab to run some experiments to get her powers back. She agreed to do it because they can't win the war unless she'll fight with it. Is it just me or what?

I know they originally killed her off at the end of season 1, which would have been the end of ST but they decided to continue, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if they ended up killing her off at the end.

I love the parallel of the line "drive" to s3 when they were escaping the cabin and Mike yelled "drive" kinda poetic how in this scene the agent is heart and in that scene el was hurt

Based on the hands on the table of the drawing scene and the fact that Nancy is seen in Vecna's in-between universe, I don't think it's Max and El but instead Max and Nancy as those are the only characters seen in Vecna's place so far.

The thing where they drew that house from Vecna's head on seperate pieces of paper kinda reminds of that episode where Will on season 2 started drawing the vines, actually the Hawkins map, and that they put it togheter after that.

I wonder if we'll see what remains from the mind flayer as the mist like form from season 2 is probably still roaming around in the upside down. We know it lost connection to the part that was inside of Will in season 3 but we never heard about what happend to his true form in the upside down.

Last comment I posted I goofed about Max, but I still keep thinking of the movie Poltergeist in rescuing Carol Ann on the second floor they threw in a tennis ball and it came out of the ceiling, then a rope, getting carol ann. But that aside in this trailer Jonathon is pounding on the van window and a flash where he is already in the van screaming "Drive" could be a scene in between, but it could be an alternate Jonathan as well.
Vecnas vines/arms look a lot like Billy did when the meat puppet sacked him at the Starcourt Battle, before they withdrew and he collapsed.
We've known about the upside down, without a better way of saying this perhaps above us is the right side up. Everyone enjoy and have a great night (and sorry about the Max mistake on my other post on a different thread)

I think the house drawing would be something like Will's drawings in s2 which will be something after Max was in Vecna's space.
I think the scene with the pictures of the creel house are drawn by max and is similar to Will when he draw the Hawkins tunnel system. So maybe veena is connected to max telling us that she drew the map like the shadow mindflayer and will in season2

I’m still wondering about some details that never were explained. When Will was first “taken” in his backyard shed, how did he escape the demogorgon in the upside down? He wasn’t taken (inside the upside down) until the end of the season to be “impregnated’ right before Hopper and ms Byers came to get him?
There was a comic that showed how Will survived in the upside down.

I thought that max walking in that red distorted area in the upside down with the clock and stuff was just part of the nightmares that she has, they released a clip of max in therapy and they ask about her nightmares. They also show max levitating above Billy's grave, so she may be getting affected by Vecna and he may be messing with her head and showing her visions of the upside down like the mind flayer did to Will at the start of season 2.
I have a theory 11 will die in season 5 and when she dies all of the things happening stops but if she doesn't die it keeps happening

Honestly, i think what's going on with the Billy/William thing is that Vecna eventually traps Max in a coma-like state that simulates the real world to her, but it's not an exact copy because it draws off of her memories, and it's little discrepancies like Billy's grave saying Billy instead of William that'll snap her out of it, Truman Show style. I know that would be pretty big for the show to pull off, but i'd love to see it.

The young eleven part isn't CGI ...Millie told in one interview that the young eleven scenes were scary and it was difficult for her coz she was 10, but that storyline wasn't covered in that season
