  • The long awaited Rusty Cooley RC-One GTR has finally arrived so we asked Ormsby Artist, Craig Peters, to take his Orange Marblizer 7string for a spin and break down all the specs.
The RC-One GTR features a Mahogany body and available in 6 or 7 strings, with 4 colours; 2 marble effect and 2 Flame Maple veneer. The set neck is a constant 19mm D shape and has been constructed with 5 pieces of Maple / Wenge with carbon fibre reinforced rods, topped with an Ebony fretboard that features partial scallops to the 12-27th frets and the Ormsby logo @ 12th. On Rusty's RC-One, we've used a Floyd Rose Pro bridge with our Ormsby machineheads plus EMG pickups; EMG85 + 81 to the six string, and EMG85 + 707 on the seven string. Each model will include a hardcase and a signed certificate of authenticity.
Full RC-One info and specs can be found on our website; store.ormsbygu...

So awesome to see Craig endorsing Ormsby and for Ormsby to have chosen him to be a spokesman.

I bought it in blue and loved to so much I just ordered a second one in orange. The easiest guitar I've ever played, bright tone, kill switch, fan frets and whammy bar, can't say enough good things about it

You can fit whichever strings you prefer. But they ship with 9-46 +54 for the seventh string

I like the green colored dean with the maple neck more aesthetically. Not really digging the look of this guitar. Sure it plays great though

The reason i don't own RR, is their "poor" access to frets.
Jackson have some beautiful models, but 22 frets or 24 with FRS is a deal breaker, especially without carved access.
( I play arpeggios up to 24 and would play even 26 if possible).
I love anyhow V-style and have few other models. ESP Sawtooth and LTD Arrow BLK.
I was looking this guitar in Gear4Music for 2k€ but some lucky dude or dudette bought it from my shopping cart, lol.
Not everyday you get Ormsby to your hands. Same goes for Vigier.
Love their Trems, even better than German oFR.
